What Does Dior Homme Intense Smell Like?

A prominent iris note leads the opening. It is dense and powdery, similar to that of Prada L’Homme. In the background, authentic lavender is playing second fiddle. It doesn’t take over the scent but provides excellent balance for the floral iris note.

Iris combines with fruity sweet pear and musk nuances within a few minutes. The pear is less about the fruitiness and gives the mid a fresh accent that breaks up the florals. However, with these new additions, much of the powderiness has dissipated.

The dry down simplifies. Warm cedar and slightly earthy vetiver give the base depth while fresh and musky accents linger on top.

Performance

Homme Intense lasts 12+ hours on the skin with excellent projection. It has a room-filling projection for the first three to four hours. After this period, it recedes but maintains an arm’s length or more ambiance for the rest of the wear.

The sillage is just as good. This rich, dense fragrance leaves a long scent trail as you move around. The more you move, the better this smells and the further it projects. This performance is with three sprays.

This is all-season wear. As for occasions, it is all. You’ll have to moderate your sprays in the summer heat and close-quarter settings as this gets intense. Open areas and rooms do exceptionally well and let this beautiful juice air out.

Lastly, mass appeal and likability are excellent. This is a beautiful, wearable, quality blend of florals and cedar. Dior Homme EDT’s best attribute is its easy wearability. This is just the same but more intense.

Where Should I Buy Dior Homme Intense?

If you want a more subtle performance, but the same aroma, Dior Homme EDT is an excellent choice.

The final burning question is, is Dior Homme Intense worth it? Yes. I love this solely for the performance. The original Homme EDT is an amazing fragrance but geared for the office, and it’s too subtle for many other situations. However, this is much louder with the same aroma.

Instead of choking myself out with too many sprays of Homme EDT, I can put on a few sprays of Homme Intense and get a better performance. The biggest downfall? It’s difficult to get in the United States; you’ll have to purchase it on discounters.
