Review: Cartier Pasha de Cartier Parfum – Why You Need it?

Pasha de Cartier Parfum.

An underrated and alluring fragrance for men.

Cartier Pasha de Cartier Parfum was released in 2020. It is based on wood and amber. It lasts eight hours on the skin with moderate projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Cartier Pasha de Cartier Parfum Smell Like?

The immediate opening is a blast of earthy darkness with smoky and woody accents. Until I looked at the note breakdown, I didn’t know this was from a big blast of ambrocenide. If you are unfamiliar, fragrantica describes it as an “extremely powerful and very sharp woody scent with ambery; slightly animalic and smokey agarwood tones.” I don’t get every part of this description but most of it.

Accompanying ambrocenide is a strong fir note and resinous woody tones. The fir note in the opening really amplifies the earthiness. All of this is undertoned by boozy liquor.

This all happens in the first half an hour and then transitions to a warmer and spicer tone. There is no specific spice note but rather spice accents from the top notes carried into the mid. At this point, it’s mostly a hefty dose of amber.

The dry down is dominant ambery sandalwood and balsamic accords playing second fiddle.

The official Cartier Pasha de Cartier Parfum notes:

  • Sandalwood
  • Liquor
  • Balsam Fir
  • Benzoin
  • Ambrocenide
  • Tonka Bean
  • Patchouli
  • Labdanum

Performance

The performance is as good as the smell. Pasha de Cartier Parfum lasts eight hours on the skin with gentlemanly projection. In the first few hours, it pushes out multiple feet, then recedes. But it never becomes a skin scent or overwhelms during the wear.

The versatility is great as well. This is an excellent choice for the fall and winter. One is because the aroma best fits the time of the year’s stereotype. You’ll want a warm fragrance like this when it’s cold out. Two is because the scent is dense and needs cooler weather to temper its strength.

It also works in the early spring but differently than in the fall and winter. The good thing about this fragrance is that it’s not sweet. Even if it gets too hot, it’s not the end of the world. In a four-season climate, you’ll get a solid seven months of wear out of this.

As for the occasions, Pasha de Cartier Parfum works well for all because of its moderate projection. However, it especially shines on dates and formal occasions because the aroma is unique and alluring.

Lastly, the mass appeal and likability are excellent, and this is for a few reasons. First, the aroma is unique. It was created in 2020 but still retains an old-school and mature aroma that isn’t age decisive.

The likability is an even better story. To give you a hint, this made it on my “sexiest colognes for men” list. The combination of wood and amber in this fragrance is like nothing else. It not only attracts attention but sparks curiosity.

Besuited Aroma gives Cartier Pasha de Cartier a 9.2 out of 10 rating.

Final Words

On the Cartier Official website, a 100mL bottle costs $138. This is very reasonably priced for a fragrance of this quality. The final question is, is Cartier Pasha de Cartier Parfum worth it? Yes. This underrated winter fragrance is a show-stopper for dates and formal occasions.

My favorite aspect of the fragrance is the elegance of the blend. It takes old-school DNA and masculine accords, making it wearable for every man. This is more challenging than it sounds; they’ve pulled it off.

After you try Cartier Pasha de Cartier Parfum, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
