What Does Ralph Lauren Polo Deep Blue Parfum Smell Like?

The opening starts with a tropical sweetness from a trio of citruses. I get most of the sweetness from the mango note. However, the bergamot and grapefruit combination has a tart and awakening accent. All three notes blend to emphasize a high degree of freshness.

The top notes give way to a sea of aromatics within a few minutes. Woody and aquatic accents are the most prominent. The top notes remain, contrasting the cypress and never allowing it to get too “outdoorsy.”

The sweet and fresh top notes linger in the background as the scent settles into the mid. They are paired equally with subtle ambroxan and marine notes. These notes are fighting to compete with the prominent aromatic accord. However, it can’t overpower the aromatics’ strength.

Deep Blue Parfum transitions seamlessly from mid to dry down. You’ll find green aquatic notes, woody ambroxan, and a light sweetness for the rest of the wear.

So, now you know the most important part of the fragrance. Let’s talk about the second. Polo Deep Blue Parfum lasts 6 – 8 hours on the skin with slightly above-average projection. It pushes out multiple feet for the first 1 – 2 hours and leaves a solid scent trail. However, after this period, it recedes closer to the skin, to almost an intimate projection.

It is primarily warm weather wear. This is particularly useful in the spring with its density and sweetness. As for occasions, it can be worn for everything but formal events.

For example, it doesn’t have the “oomph factor” or class that would make you stand out at a work party. Yet, it still has the likability of an affordable summer date night scent.
