How To Remove Scuff Marks From Leather Shoes?

Clean the Shoes: Before you begin, remove any dirt from the shoes. You can use a soft brush or Cloth to clean the dust from the Shoe.

Moisten the Cloth: Dampen a soft cloth with water. Be sure not to make it too wet as excess water can damage the Leather.

Apply Cleaner or Soap: Apply a small amount of leather cleaner or mild soap to the damp cloth. If you are using soap, it is advisable to use one that is free of detergents and fragrances to avoid damaging the leather.

Gently Rub the Scuff Mark: Gently rub the cloth against the scuff mark in a circular motion. Be sure not to apply too much pressure as this can damage the leather surface. Continue until the scuff mark starts to fade.

Wipe off Cleaner or Soap: Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe off the soap or cleaner from the shoe. Again, make sure the cloth is not too wet.

Dry the Shoes: Allow the shoes to air dry. Avoid placing them near a heat source, as this can cause the leather to crack.

Apply Leather Conditioner: Once the shoes are dry, apply a leather conditioner to keep the leather soft and supple. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the best results.

Polish the Shoes: Using a shoe polish that matches the color of your leather, apply it to the shoes with a soft cloth or brush. This will help to further cover up any remaining scuff marks and bring back the shoe’s original shine.

Buff the Shoes: After the polish has dried, use a clean cloth or shoe brush to buff the shoes to a shine. Use back-and-forth motions for the best results.

Store Properly: Store your leather shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent further damage.
