Inclusivity, excellence, and Made In Italy are key words on the runway and discussions on equally current and significant themes such as sustainability cannot be missed, which, precisely on this footprint, saw among the events the talk followed by the ‘Coffee Break by Peter Langner’ fashion show on April 5th at 3:00 PM. The meeting was a moment of dialogue between the designer and his guests, with whom he was able to share in an intimate exchange his vision on the theme.

How wedding can be sustainable? with the participation of Peter Langner – designer and Alessia Santa – wedding planner

The exclusive invitation-only event ‘Sparkling Night’ which took place on April 6th, was a moment that featured dreamy dresses during a special evening in an exceptional location. Official partners of the project: Dalin Italian Atelier, Donatella Gallo, Elisabetta Polignano, Le Spose di Giò, Maison Signore, Maria Pia Creations, Michela Ferriero, Modeca, and Randy Fenoli.

Peter Langner @Sì Sposaitalia Collections 2024 From April 5th to 8th, the reference point event of the fashion and bridal sector with its calendar full of novelties and fashion shows. Great anticipation for the two new special areas Unconventional POP and Evening Dress. Among the novelties is a dense program of talks and the upcycling project in collaboration with IED – European Institute of Design.

Returning to the fair in Milan – Allianz MiCo, Sì Sposaitalia Collections, the internationally renowned reference point of the fashion and bridal segment, organized by Fiera Milano, with its format ready to welcome over 200 brands from 25 countries.

Ambassador companies of Italian style together with the most important realities of the international panorama are protagonists of a unique exhibition moment, capable of combining research, innovation, and quality in line with the evolutionary dynamics of the market.

Among the top exhibitors: Elisabetta Polignano who, as per the tradition of the last few years, will start the fashion shows with the opening parade, Justin Alexander who will bring to the fair all his lines including Savannah Miller, Peter Langner with a fashion show-event that will make a significant contribution to the theme of sustainability, but also Maria Pia Creations, Maison Signore, Michela Ferriero, Dalin Italian Atelier, Diamond Couture.

Spotlight also on the special areas protagonists of this new edition starting from Unconventional Pop-Up which will welcome a selection of niche and emerging brands, in a bridal&accessories key, entirely dedicated to the total look of the modern and contemporary bride and designed for those looking for new proposals for their boutique. Here we will find the unpublished creations of Avaro Figlio, ALWSchic Milano, Bovina Fiori, Dalma Denes, Ferdinando Concept, Milan & L’Amour, Myoh Jewelry, Romina Guerrera, Sara Radice Atelier, Terry Saponaro, Vaida Design, Flavia Flaming, Derani Milano, Elodie Brides, and Petali.

Luigi Bruno @Sì Sposaitalia Collections 2024 A broader look at the world of dresses for special events with the Evening Dress area, the new exhibition space that explores and presents trends for evening wear, in all its occasions of use: from Prom, increasingly widespread also in Europe, to the second dress after cutting the cake, passing for the cocktail party as well as the more classic ceremony. The exceptional partner for this new project is IFTA, which for five years has organized the IFTA EVENING SHOW, the fair dedicated exclusively to evening outfits with great attention to Italian tailoring excellence. Present in this special area are the collections of Ada Sorrentino, Badura by Aleksandra Badura, Gerardo Sacco, L’artigiano del Guanto, Maria Patrizia Marra, Nanaleo Clotherapy, and Sartoria74.

Also important are the training moments, for the first time with a dedicated area inside the event: the Sposaitalia Lounge where interviews, talks, and moments of discussion will take place, in collaboration with Elle Italia, to deepen together all possible scenarios of the sector between sustainability and beauty.

The highly anticipated fashion show calendar will also animate the days of the event discovering the bridal trends of next year. Scheduled are 13 fashion shows and 28 Maisons starting Friday, April 5th at 11:00 AM promoting inclusivity but also the importance of responsible fashion with an increasingly attentive look at market needs.

On this thread, underscoring one of the focal themes of the event, Sì Sposaitalia Collections confirms its vocation in welcoming new trends and promoting quality content towards a more ethical and sustainable bridal fashion, involving the new generations of creatives in the cultural change process. The upcycling project in a bridal key in collaboration with the European Institute of Design (IED) will put young designers of the future and the theme of sustainability at the center, combining fashion and training to transform wedding dresses into casual garments through upcycling, following the philosophy of “Buy less, choose well, make it last” by Vivienne Westwood. Ten students from the Master in Fashion Design at the IED, coordinated by the teacher Marina Spadafora, ambassador of ethical fashion, will participate in the project using wedding dresses destined for scrap and will study and create new casual wear garments that will be exhibited in the showcase area of the event. The most representative dress, selected among the ten final models, will receive special recognition for its ability to reinterpret the essence of the wedding dress with a new identity, according to the principles of upcycling.

To enhance the ability to create community, Sì Sposaitalia Collections has signed agreements with WPI – Wedding Planner Italy Association and Convention Bureau Italy which will ensure the presence of numerous Italian and international wedding planners to offer another point of view, closer to the spouses of tomorrow and able to anticipate their needs.

Finally, there will be presentations and moments of networking and business for buyers and visitors from all over the world at the event which once again reveals itself as an unmissable appointment to discover all the trends and novelties of the contemporary bridal universe.
