San Holo explains, “To me, this song is about the realization that love is such a powerful state of being. Love will always give you the strength to keep going. If you come from a place of true love, no place is too far. This is one of my favorite songs on the album, and I loved working with Whethan and Selah Sol on it!”

“NO PLACE IS TOO FAR” is more than just a song; it’s a cosmic exploration of sound, emotion, and connection. San Holo, the visionary artist renowned for his genre-defying approach, unites with the dynamic creativity of Whethan and the soulful vocals of Selah Sol, and the result is a breathtaking synergy that melds ethereal melodies with cutting-edge production, creating a sonic experience that is both futuristic and deeply resonant. Additionally, the track’s pulsating beats, intricate layers, and emotional vocals merge to evoke a spectrum of feelings, making it a soundtrack for both personal reflection and collective unity.

Whethan and San have an existing synergy both as friends and artists, and Whethan is a special guest on San’s Kia Forum Los Angeles and Red Rocks Denver shows.

“NO PLACE IS TOO FAR” is the latest single from San Holo’s forthcoming EXISTENTIAL DANCE MUSIC, which is due out this September 15th. This new definition of EDM is a crucial component of the San Holo project and community. San explains, “Music has always been a way for me to express feelings that I can’t describe with just words… Words alone rarely capture something’s pure essence, and music seems to get a lot closer to capturing those feelings. Life is so existential by nature; We’re all looking for meaning in this world, and I’m fascinated by our personal journey of finding purpose. At the end of the day, we all wanna see the light and feel connected to our true selves and the world around us; We want to feel at peace. Existential Dance Music is all about this journey through life. Our journey to light. The lows, the highs, the hellos, the goodbyes…”

In addition to the new single, San Holo just added new tour dates this week with stops in Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, PA, with support from DROELOE & OddKidOut. Tickets for all shows are available HERE.

Since 2015, Whethan has quietly emerged as an influential and inescapable force in not only the electronic genre but popular music at large. Beyond tallying over 1 billion global streams and counting, he notably became “the young artist ever on Australia’s Future Classics.” He earned a gold single with “Good Nights” [feat. Mascolo] from 2018’s Life of a Wallflower, Vol. 1, and notably collaborated with everyone from Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, and K.FLAY to Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, Portugal. The Man, Jeremih, The Knocks, and Wafia. In 2020, he reached another high watermark with his debut album, FANTASY. Along the way, he graced bills of marquee festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Electric Daisy Carnival, in addition to selling out a co-headliner at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre and topping the lineup of MTV’s Snowglobe Music Festival.

As he continued to create throughout the Global Pandemic, advice from one of his heroes, Skrillex, echoed in the back of his mind. “Skrillex told me you should make music for your inner child,” he recalls. “That always stuck with me. It was a revelation. I always want to be excited about what I’m doing.” After touring heavily for the last few years, he maximized his time off the road. He produced five tracks on Oliver Tree’s critically acclaimed debut album, Ugly Is Beautiful. Combing Soundcloud for music, he immersed himself in the burgeoning hyper-pop movement at the same time. His instincts proved correct. He reached out to rising hyper-pop star Glaive and genre-bending ericdoa and cooked up the 2021 single “Think You Right.” On the track, synths shift like tectonic plates underneath hypnotic vocal interplay. Meanwhile, strings underscore a hook teeming with uncontainable energy.
