Forget going to the mall, Instagram is becoming the place to shop with more than 130 million users tapping on an instagram shopping post each month.

It is time to get your curated clothes in front of those millions of users and set up your Instagram Store. We are going to teach you how to do it in a few easy steps.

What is an instagram shop?

An instagram shop allows customers to browse your products directly from within the app. Think of it as a virtual storefront in the massive mall of instagram. Customers then click on the item they want and purchase it directly from you – all completely free.

How to set up an instagram shop?

Step 1

Check your eligibility, you will be approved if:

1. You are in an eligible country (that is yes if you are in the UK)
2. You sell a physical product (no online courses or fugazi bitcoin pyramid schemes)
3. You comply with Instagram’s merchant agreement and commerce policies
4. You have a FLUF store (don’t have one? set one up)
5. You have an Instagram business profile (don’t worry if you are set up with a personal account, it is easy to change like this)

Step 2

Connect your Instagram to your Facebook Business Page:

1. Go to your Instagram profile
2. Select Edit Profile
3. Under Public Business Information, Select Page
4. Tap Create Facebook Page (it is super easy and here is a quick video on how to do it) or Connect an Existing Page
5. Choose a Page from your Pages that you’d like to connect to or select Create a New Facebook Page
6. Tap Done after you’ve selected a Page or created a new Page

Step 3

Add your products to your instagram store:

1. Go to the commerce manager on your facebook business page here
2. Click on get started (or the blue “+ Add Shop” button or “+Add catalog”)
   • Then press next
   • Choose checkout method to be on another website
   • Choose your business facebook page next
   • Add the countries you ship to, and your email address
   • Finish the setup
3. Click on Catalog in the left hand side menu, and select Data sources
4. Then click Data feed
5. Select Scheduled feed as the upload option
6. Paste in your unique URL provided by FLUF (if you don’t have one, request one)
7. Schedule the time you want your feed to update (we recommend hourly), and then select the correct currency (i.e GBP)
8. Then you are good to go! Here are some tips on how to make your shop your own
