Once upon a time, we enjoyed thousands of Snacks in pizza flavor, as well as snacks from our favorite 90s cartoons and series. Above all else, we had tons of easy microwavable pre-packaged dinners like pop tarts or bagel bites to choose from. There is no doubt the 90s were all about weird food trends that everyone jumped head first into, and snacks were not the exception!

Some of these are still around and others are lost to time. If you want to find out which is which or just reminisce about your favorite snacks, do not miss out on this list of all your favorite nostalgic foodies. Read on to get all the juicy details, I can guarantee you won’t regret it… But you might end up with a case of the munchies.

1. Pop Tarts

Pop Tarts have a bad rep, and they are mostly considered junk food because of their high-sugar and low-protein ingredients, but there is no doubt they were a fan favorite during the 90s before we went into healthy eating.

2. Bagel Bites

Bagel Bites are the ultimate comfort food. Nothing better than easy-to-heat and eat pizza bites. It was impossible to eat one then, as it is now!

3. Kellogg’s Banana Bubbles

“The cereal that thinks is a milkshake” was a breakfast cereal launched in the 1990s by Kellogg’s that turned the milk into banana flavor smoothie goodness. I didn’t get to try this but I would definitely do it now if I could!

4. Bernard Matthews Turkey Dinosaurs

Another proof that Dinosaurs were in everything during the 90s, even food. These weirdly cute nuggets were made of turkey in easily-recognizable dinosaur shapes for every kid’s enjoyment.

5. Chicken Balti Pie

This Indian-inspired dish came in a box courtesy of Pukka, but it was also a trending recipe all over. After all, who doesn’t love a pie?

6. Hula Hoops Big Os Oi

The ad was super cheesy but there is no denying that Hula hoops were a major hit back in the day. Apparently they are still around, still made of potato and corn and shaped like short, hollow cylinders that you can put on your fingers and play around with. Guess it really lends itself to goofyness!

7. Toffo

Toffo was a British brand of toffee. Each Candy came individually wrapped in a roll and there were a couple of flavors like plain, mint, and assorted ones. This one might not have made it to other parts of the world, but it was a hit in the UK!

8. Cheesestrings

Playing with food was a thing back way when, and Cheesestrings certainly lend themselves to some fun. They are actually still being made, so if you are missing them you can certainly feed that nostalgia!

9. Sunny Delight

Despite not being technically a snack, this was the juice of choice to accompany the late afternoon snack in many a household!

10. Cadbury TAZ

I loved Taz! He was such a cute beastie! So, of course, if I had to choose a bar of chocolate I was going to go for one of these. The taste didn’t matter as much, I mean it’s chocolate and it’s Cadbury so that wasn’t an issue, but the cartoon on the wrapping was the main selling point. Marketing at its best!

11. Cadbury Fuse

These cuties are lost in time since 2006 when Cadbury stopped production. They were quite filling and full of protein, ideal to gain weight in Mean Girls style.

12. Go Gurt

Go Gurt came in two formats: dunkers and simple yogurt. Each was delicious and perfect for kids!

13. Butterfinger

This very popular candy was created in 1922 but went under a huge popularity peak during the 90s. The name comes from how some players that can’t hold onto the ball are called butterfingers. Maybe they were trying to refer to how fast these candies disappear once you start eating them!

They are still around in an improved and healthier mode, their original recipe improved upon to keep with the times.

Basically, they are peanut butter made from freshly roasted peanuts mixed with sugar candy that is kneaded, rolled, and cut before being covered in chocolate to balance the saltiness of the peanut butter. Sounds scrumptious? They are definitely worth each bite!

14. Cosmic Brownies

Originally, these were created based on the Cosmic Bowling trend to celebrate out-of-this-world bowling alleys. The little candy chips certainly look alien and spacey, right?

15. Toaster Strudel

Pilsbury had a ton of great products back in the day, and luckily most of them are still around for us to enjoy! The toaster strudel comes in a lot, and I really mean a lot, of flavors and it can be rounded up with toast and juice for a complete breakfast.

16. Dunkaroos

The concept behind dunkaroos was to use dunk the cookies in their corresponding frosting for the perfect moist bite-sized delight. Kind of like dunking Oreos in milk, but better!

17. Fruit Gushers

The name was aptly applied to this snack. The juice really gushed out and was responsible for colorful stains on children’s clothing all over.

18. Fruit by the Foot

Oh, the era of belt candy and chewable strips! Fruit by the foot really tasted amazingly like fruit!

19. Hi-C

Hi-C was definitely more appealing for children than other juices with its orange lavaburst flavor. Of course, it had nothing to do with lava, but somehow the name really stayed with you.

20. Kool-Aid Bursts

Somewhere along the way drinking the Kool-Aid became a negative idea, but as children, we loved the Kool-Aid bursts! It came in a bunch of flavors and colors that left your tongue dyed for a little while. It was super fun!

21. Yoo-hoo

I am still a huge fan of chocolate drinks, and the love affair might have started with this very same little boxed Yoohoos.

22. Cheez Balls

Gimme anything cheese, and I’m game. Particularly if we are talking about Cheez Balls. You can still get them actually, so what are you waiting for?

23. Shark Bites

We have established that candy came in weird shapes back in 1990, but none made so little sense as the little candied sharks that came out of Shark Bites. Who thought of naming it so? And why? I’m dying to know!

24. 3D Doritos

Doritos are still going strong, but they were massively divisive when I was a child. You were either team Cheetos or team Doritos! And of course, you ate every little speck of dusted flavor that was left on your fingers.

25. Snackwell’s Devil’s Food Cookie Cakes

Oh, what memories! It was impossible to eat only one of these, they were super addictive! Of, course you had to have a sweet tooth because they were sugary but really, unbeatable!

26. Rice Krispies Treats Cereal

Rice Krispies are actually pretty easy to make if you are not into buying the pre-packaged kind. Just put together a layer of Rice cereal and lay the chocolate over it, freeze it up so it goes hard and voila! You are all set to go.

27. Yoplait Trix Yogurt

Speaking of healthy snacks, these yogurts were a fan favorite because of the gunny bunny Trix. The ads really pulled children in with its adventures.

28. Lunchables

Lunch was never as easy as with Lunchables. They came in many flavors, not just pizza and cosmic cake, of course. But if you know me, it’s always pizza for the win!

29. Scooby-Doo Fruit Snacks

Scooby loved his snacks and so do we! They also came in a box just like the ones Shaggy would feed them, which was extra cool in my book.

30. Dinosaur Eggs Oatmeal

Dinosaurs did conquer everything, even cereal. It was just a design thing, since the cereal was the same taste of course. But parents did anything to get kids to eat their breakfasts…

31 String Thing

Last but not least, this candy string was the bomb. It was super fun to eat! The only danger was the very high possibility of not stopping till you hit the bottom of the box.
