This American television Fitness personality still identifies himself as “America’s Personal Trainer”. With numerous fitness infomercials going live during the 90s, Tony was instantly recognizable for his ponytail and booming voice. He endorsed many fitness products, most famously the iconic Gazelle Elliptical Glider.

On January 1, 1991, the legendary singer and actress released her book Cher Forever Fit, effectively shaking the fitness world to its core. The guide featured nutrition tips, secrets to maximizing health, weight loss advice, workout sessions, and her favorite products for hair and skincare.

During the 90s, this German model was on every possible fashion magazine’s cover, but she also starred in a workout guide for perfectly fit arms with acid-jazz music.

With contagious energy and flamboyant personality, this 90s fitness guru was known for making workouts enjoyable. His “Sweatin’ To The Oldies” videos with upbeat music were so popular that an aerobic craze soon spread out among the masses.

In 1993, Mark Wahlberg released a hit workout video called “The Marky Mark Workour”. He had always been into fitness, even before his famous Calvin Klein ad campaign but he became a fitness sensation overnight.

This Australian model had her own series of instructional aerobics videos, teamed up with Karen Voight, in which she modeled each exercise in itty-bitty sports bras and a lot of hair mousse.

This famous hair-flipping Italian/American was famous for being in many romance novel covers all over the world. His dashing physique and blond mane quickly earned him a spot in the fitness world when he released his “Fabio Fitness” workout videos in 1993.

During the 90s, “Getting Fit with Denise Austin” sold millions of copies. Her exercise videos made her America’s Fitness Sweetheart and placed her as one of the top fitness celebrities of the decade. She is also a huge author of fitness books, centering her regimen on varied workouts of yoga, pilates, aerobic exercises, and a nutritional, normal diet that controls portions but abstains from almost no particular foods.

This well-known American fitness coach and model has been training celebrities for over 20 years. Actors, athletes, musicians, and other famous clients like Hugh Jackman, and Ryan Reynolds continue to choose him and perpetuate his fame. He continues to be one of the most in-demand personal trainers today.

This Jamaican-born British fitness instructor was a huge early 90s fitness icon known as Mr. Motivator. He rose to fame in 1993 performing live at the breakfast TV show GMTV. His live sessions were characterized by high-energy workouts wearing bright colorful spandex.

Ali MacGraw is an American actress and activist that was particularly popular during the 70s. But around 1994 she became a Hatha Yoga devotee and produced a series of videos with American yoga master Erich Schiffman, “Ali MacGraw Yoga Mind and Body”, with great success.

One day, he was teaching dance in Colombia when he forgot his cassette of pop songs before a class. He improvised and adapted his workout to a mixtape of Latin songs he had on hand. Years later, he founded the Zumba craze, which turned into Zumba Fitness.

Before launching his famous “Billy’s Boot Camp”, Billy Blanks created The Tae Bo workout (a combination of Tae Kwon Do and Boxing) and sold more than 1.5 million videos between 1998-1999.
