Can’t Find an N95 Mask? This Company Has 30 Million That It Can’t Sell

Healthcare staff are also forced to supply face Masks, but small U.S. suppliers cannot find buyers, and some are at risk of falling.

It’s been a year of this pandemic, N95 is working as a protective Mask from virus transmission for people. Extreme use of N95 masks causes a shortage in the market. Shortage of masks leads people to reuse their N95 mask as people are not sure about using another mask because they don’t rely on another mask as it gives the same protection as N95 mask gives.

There are many companies in the U.S which sell a large amount of masks in the last year. But now conditions are changed, higher selling companies are not able to find the buyers.

DemeTech

After exposure to this respiratory virus, there is a significant need for protective equipment, and at the same time, China stopped its import-export business to the world. DemeTech is a big manufacturing industry in Miami, was famous for its making suture medical products and has jumped into mask manufacturing.

This Company invested a million dollar in new machines and other equipment for manufacturing of face masks. It also goes under nine-month approval policies after that the protective face mask are on the market.

However, now demand is so sluggish that Mr Arguello plans to lay off some of the employees he had recruited to boost production.

It’s unbelievable that we can’t bring these masks to those who need them significantly.

Many of the nearly two dozen small American companies that recently jumped into the business of producing N95s are facing the plunge. Due to the most complicated disconnects between supply and demand rules, unable to crack the market, amid promises from both former President for production of Critical Medical Equipment.

These corporations confronted entrenched buying habits of healthcare facilities, manufacturers of medical supplies and state governments. The new influx of American-made masks, which are often a bit more costly than those manufactured in China, is reluctant to try many buyers.

Another strategy arises from businesses such as Facebook and Google, which banned N95 masks from selling and advertising to prevent profiteers from diverting critical medical equipment needed by skilled medical staff.

Texas mask

Mike Bowen, the owner of Prestige Ameritech, a Texas mask maker, who testified before Congress about the need to help domestic producers, said that ” the government needs to call the globalization of America’s mask production is: a matter of national security.

Scribbling on his perspectives during the 2009 swine flu pandemic, he said it was unlikely that many start-ups would succeed without structural reform. “We’ve seen this picture before,” said Mr Bowen, a veteran of the industry for 35 years. “It’s going to be a freaking brutal fight  when the pandemic is over.”

Companies like United States Mask, a start-up that started manufacturing N95s in November in Fort Worth, Texas, might not be able to hold out much longer. In the early weeks of the pandemic, John Bielamowicz, a commercial real estate broker who started the business with a friend, David Baillargeon, said he was disappointed by hospital chains’ lack of interest, long-term care facilities and bulk buying by local governments.

Although the Company’s masks have been approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Mr. Bielamowicz says that many consumers are hesitant to try out unfamiliar materials. Owing to the time-consuming need to fit-test new personnel models, major hospitals tend to stick with masks they already use. But many bulk buyers who are cost-conscious tend to buy cheaper Chinese ones.

Tarrant County from where Mr Bielamowicz’s factory is situated, has one of the most intense denials. The county disqualified his Company’s deal last month because officials wanted to purchase particular Chinese-made models. Officials from the county did not respond to requests for information.

University of California

Dr Monica Gandhi, a specialist in infectious diseases at the University of California, San Francisco, said that ” if N95 masks were available, the great majority of people of Americans who adopted the habit of wearing a mask would be worried about new models. They will enthusiastically upgrade to N95s or other forms of virus-filtering masks.

She added more “High-filtration masks are more important than ever right now,”

Facebook Marketplace

The concern is bringing customers towards its retail websites. At the moment, a blank page is seen if anyone is trying to buy N95 masks on Google Shopping or Facebook Marketplace; on Amazon, a search for N95s yields a welter of vendors trying to peddle KN95 masks, a Chinese-made alternative that researchers say is less effective.

The platform seemed to make a handful of masks identified as N95s on Wednesday, but not all are reported on the N.I.O.S.H website. Another contained a disclaimer stating that for use against Covid-19, the masks are not recommended.

Facebook and Google most famous and used sites said they would not change their policies instantly. Their policies are designed according to the Centre of Disease and the World Health Organization ( WHO).
