Skinny Jeans for These 2019 Trends

A new season always feels like a breath of fresh air, especially in Denim. While jeans — flared, baggy or straight legs— never really get out of style, some variations are steamed in a season compared to others. So what do you think about denim models in 2019? We got the inside scoop after a little questioning. In order to learn everything about Denim’s patterns, we met Kelly Urban and Misty Zollars, the co-founders of the label Amo denim. Because we know that you love shopping, for each of the following six major trends we have included shopping picks for spring denim.

Embroidered Denim

“We are always putting a feminine twist to denim classics, as women’s owners and designers. One of our favorite trends is sticky denim. We took Loverboy, a slightly more selling, slightly more relaxed, cut, straight style and revamped it with a tiny florescent pink friend.

The result feels like something truly special, but the vintage wash keeps it feeling a bit tomboy. We love that it’s a balance of masculine and feminine and is surprisingly easy to wear.” — Amo co-founders Kelly Urban and Misty Zollars

Low-Slung Straight

“While we’re still loving and wearing high-rise denim, there’s something really odd about denim that’s slightly lower (just above your hip bone) with a classic straight leg. We’re not thinking about the kind of super-low-rise skinnies you’ve got to buy special underwear for; it’s more low-slung than low-rise, and yes, there’s a big difference, in our view.

Hem Details

“We love a traditional mid-rise fit with a little something extra at the hem. Our Tie Ankle jean is just that—it takes your standard black Skinny Jeans and adds a flirty, fun twist. The inseam is cut above the ankle so that it fits for both long and short inseams, so no hemming is needed!”

Longer High-Rise, Straight-Leg Denim

“One of our favorite new fits for spring is a long, straight-leg vintage-inspired fit, like our Layla in rigid denim. While we still love the cropped-at – the-ankle look, we are excited to have a longer, un-cropped straight-leg option for spring and are really into our take on this in a beat-up vintage-looking wash.”
