High Waist Pants have become my obsession. I recently had a haul at one of my favorite shopping spots, and I bought a ton. Most of them are black, of course, with one or two denim exceptions. Who doesn’t love classic black pants? Well, no one! Classic black pants are a definite wardrobe must have, so I decided to own them in bulk- I intend to get more. There are several dos and don’ts when it comes to wearing high waist pants. In this new segment of the blog, I am only showing you the dos the way I do ‘em. However, after my OOTD-starring-high waist pants journey, which will involve several parts, ends, we will get into the don’ts.

If you’re not comfortable in your own skin you won’t be comfortable in your own clothes.

For part 1, I went with an all-black ensemble, paired with the cutest thrift pink flats. One of the dos when it comes to high waist pants is tucking in a top, which is what I did with this sleeved top. You can’t wear high waist pants only to cover them with a top. The pants’ design has an extra edge, so with this particular outfit I went for zero accessories (Avoiding too much bling).

When shopping for high waist pants, go for one that fits perfectly. This will allow you to enjoy the benefits that come with wearing such pants; Tummy tucked, love handles gone, booty popping, without mentioning feeling good about how you look and being in love with your body.

As noted above, the plan is to drop an OOTD of high waist pants every week, so stay alert for next week’s post on the same. Meanwhile, have a blast, and remember to dress how you want to be addressed.
