President Bola Tinubu has articulated the benefits of eliminating the fuel subsidy.
He emphasized that scrapping the fuel subsidy would create opportunities for investments in alternative energy .s, infrastructure, and public services.
Tinubu asserted that these investments would . a pivotal role in fortifying and advancing the prosperity of Nigeria.

Addressing the audience during the culmination of the ongoing three-day joint convocation ceremony for the 37th and 38th academic sessions of the University of Ilorin on Monday, Tinubu assured that the difficulties and disruptions resulting from the Oil Subsidy Removal would be of brief duration.
Represented by the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, Tinubu said people should look out for its potential long-term benefits.
He, however, admitted that Nigerians are enmeshed in economic pains as a result of the oil subsidy removal.
“While the short-term gains are expected with attendant pains, please look forward to the potential long-term benefits.
“The removal of subsidies can pave way for investments in alternative energy .s, infrastructure, and public services that will contribute to a stronger and prosperous Nigeria.
