‘BUMBLEBEE’ ALL SET TO RULE THE THEATERS IN DECEMBER WITH ITS TRANSFORMERS SPIN – OFF

Taking inspiration from the iconic hits of the 1980s such as the coming-of-age movie, ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ and‘Karate Kid’, Bumblebee (2018)  is all set to close the year with a bang with its amazing Transformers spin-off in theaters. Featuring the 21 year old sensation, Hailee Steinfield as Charlie Watson who has an inclination towards cars in this coming-of-age spin-off, and John Cena who is an agent working for a U.S Agency.

Hailee Steinfield’s character is somewhat tomboyish – a role that is going to glorify Bumblebee Jackets forever. Unlike her previous female counterparts such as Megan Fox who played a similar role back in 2007, Hailee Steinfield somehow fits the character as a gutsy teenager who develops a friendship with the Volkswagen beetle aka Bumblebee she acquired for her 18th birthday.

In the trailer, Charlie Watson can be seen touring a junkyard and setting her hopes high on a Volkswagen beetle that as mentioned above comes into her possession. In an attempt to revive the beat up old VW Beetle, Charlie Watson gets amazed when the car transforms into a giant robot aka Bumblebee right before her eyes.

In the movie, John Cena plays a U.S Agent who is somehow responsible for tracking down technological threats from alienated beings and extra-terrestrials. Known as Agent Burns in the movie, John Cena is all set to tackle Bumblebee with his armed forces – a threat which Charlie Watson has to defy in order to protect her friendship and consequently, her transformer.

The movie involves Agent Burns heading a military operation in an attempt to rid the Earth of transformers and thus protect the civilians from whatever harm they’re supposed to bring. Charlie Steinfield however, aims to prove otherwise, and thus, both of the characters can be seen in an amazing clash that will not only set the mood for Christmas this December, but will also have viewers and fans turning to thrift stores and boutiques to buy the infamous Bumblebee Hailee Steinfield Leather Jacket.

With this sci-fi saga, director Travis Knight, who was responsible for directing the magical stop motion picture, ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’, aims to bring back the original Transformers magic. Fans have been quite disappointed with the way the previous five Transformer movies performed at the box office. This is probably why Bumblebee is getting a big break by having Travis Knight instead of Michael Bay on the team.

Not only that, the entire motion picture looks like something out of the 1980s. The director not only hopes to bring back the magic of 1980s into cinema, but also aims to dress his characters wisely. With respect to Hailee Steinfield and the exception of her Charlie Watson Bumblebee Jacket, director Travis Knight has also gotten Generation One on board in order to give the Transformers bots the original yet classic touch that was present in the 1980s.

This movie doesn’t feature a cliched male dominant character that is in love with cars and robots. This movie is all about defying gender roles by having Hailee Steinfield on board as Charlie Watson and her unstoppable love for her giant bot.
