Hello Makeup, my old friend. That’s swhat goes through my head whenever I start to put together a full face of makeup and though I am still tip-toeing back into a real daily makeup routine, I have started wearing tinted moisturizer as foundation and lipstick almost everyday! If you are slowly opening up to the world of makeup again or just enjoy the easy glow of Korean style makeup, Avon TPSY is the newest in achieving a quick pop of colour and of course glowy skin!

Brows on Fleek Dual Eyebrow Definer

I wanted to start with this eyebrow pencil as it was the first thing I wanted to use! There are only four shades, but the shade “Dark Mocha”, which I am showing here, is fairly universal and reminds me a lot of Dior’s Universal Brown. The formula is fairly pigmented so you can feather in strokes with a very light hand. You can see in my full makeup look below that the colour is pretty much perfect for me!
This is actually a two-in-one product with an angled triangular pencil tip on one side and tinted brow gel to set on the other side. I would have preferred a plain spoolie to brush out my brows as I don’t really have enough brow hair to justify putting gel in them too. I found that instead of catching my brow hairs, the gel ends up on my skin instead which looks somewhat unnatural. I think if you have thicker brows, the gel would work better. I should try it on my husband actually!

I Want to Highlight You Liquid Highlighter

This is a subtle liquid highlighter that can be used as makeup primer or mixed into foundation for kind of a VDL Lumilayer-like glow. This has a very spreadable formula so unless you are planning on using it on your whole face, a half pump is more than enough to apply and blend on specific areas of the face. I used it in the makeup look below on my cheeks, underneath my brow bone and on my cupid’s bow. I generally prefer to use powder for highlighter though so this is probably going to be more of a makeup primer for me.

Drunk Shiny Lip Oil

This is a moisturizing lip oil that leaves a tint of colour to the lips that is a universal shade of pink/purple. There is zero sticky residue and has a smooth formula containing jojoba, argan and castor oil. This can be used alone or layered over another lip product.

I really wanted to like this product on its own as I now LOVE lip oils and while I liked the scent and the formula, I really did not like the tint that it left on my lips. It was a very bright pink on me that seemed to clash with my skin tone so I much preferred it layered on top of another lipstick colour.
Forever Lip Marker

In the Korean beauty world, a lip stain is always part of every makeup collection and very rarely do you see full opaque or matte lips like you see in Western beauty as the emphasis is always on natural beauty and skin. This lip marker is a fun way to apply a lip stain as it really does feel like you are drawing on your lips with a marker! You can either apply a single layer and have a subtle hint of colour or keep layering for a more pigmented look.

There is the word “forever” in the product description and that is THE TRUTH. That heart didn’t come off for two days even with oil makeup remover! It was the same when I used it on my lips! I received the shade “Orangeyred” which was quite bright (all five shades of the Forever Lip Marker are pretty bright!) and wasn’t quite the right shade of orange for me. I think a berry tone may have suited my skin tone better.

Putting it all together, I am wearing everything except the Forever Lip Marker. The glow from the highlighter is pretty subtle, but just makes it look like your skin is “singing”!

Final verdict: Hands down my favourite product out of the new TPSY collection is the Brows on Fleek Dual Eyebrow Definer even though I’m really only using one side! I like the precision tip as it makes drawing the “tail” of my brows fast and easy and I like that all I need is a light hand when it comes to creating brow strokes.
