Khabib Nurmagomedov is an Ultimate Fight Championship Hall of Famer (inducted in June 2022). He has recently retired from professional MMA fighting, but when he was still competing, he held the record for being the longest-reigning UFC lightweight champion, holding the belt for almost three years.

He retired with an impressive record of 29-0. Nurmagomedov made his professional debut in 2008 and within a month, he had already collected 4 wins.

In April 2018, Nurmagomedov faced off against Al Iaquinta in UFC 223 for the Lightweight Championship. Nurmagomedov won the fight unanimously, with the judges scoring 50-44, 50-43 and 50-43 to win the title.

Nurmagomedov dominated throughout his almost 9-year career. When Dana White officially accepted his retirement from the UFC, Nurmagomedov had an undefeated record of 29 victories.

Became an MMA Promoter

Almost right after he retired from the UFC, Nurmagomedov purchased the Russia-based MMA promotion outlet Gorilla Fighting Championship for $1 million. Although he has not officially launched it, he plans to rename it to Eagle Fighting Championship.

Nurmagomedov has one of the most unorthodox goatee styles in the UFC. He is known to sport just two Beard styles.

Full 

There are times when Nurmagomedov seemed to forget to shave his mustache so he would have a wispy mustache with a full beard. Many of his fans prefer this short beard style on him.

Amish
