The Ultimate Guide To Junghans’ collections

Junghans is a brand that can never be satisfied with mediocrity. Its dedication to precision and exceptional design can be seen throughout all of its collections. With a long-lasting horological legacy and a foundation laid on masterful craftsmanship and uncompromising standards, Junghans has grown and developed since their founding in 1861. No matter how the company has evolved, however, it has maintained its core values throughout the years. With an almost 160 year history, the brand’s designs are multi-layered and deceptively minimalist. To help you navigate the remarkable world of the brand we present you the ultimate guide to Junghans’ collections with included select models.

Junghans Meister

When it comes to both design and movement, the brand has collected all of its greatest successes under the Meister collection, Junghans is striving to preserve its history. The models in the Meister range pay homage to the designs and the technologies of the time they were created in.

Junghans Meister Agenda (English Date) Black Leather Strap

The Agenda model I made for those with a busy lifestyle and an even busier schedule. A black horse leather strap complements the sunray brush anthracite-grey dial. Thin silvered indices and luminescent dauphine hands accentuate the elegant design. The calendar week subdial and the power-reserve indicator contrast the dial in cream and add interest to the overall style of the watch. A date aperture and a day aperture are featured at 3 and 9 o’clock respectively. The crystal is hard plexiglass. The watch features an automatic movement with calibre J810.5 and a 42-hour power reserve.

Junghans Meister Calendar (English Date)

This Meister model is more highly functional and has a subtle vintage-inspired design. The stainless steel case has been PVD coated in yellow gold. A black horse leather strap adds to the vintage look. Functions on this automatic watch include a moon phase indicator in the date subdial, a day and month apertures. The matt silver dial is contrasted by gold indices and pointed dauphine hands alongside a minimalist minutes track. The calibre is J800.3 and has a 38-hour power reserve.

Junghans Meister Pilot

The Meister Pilot was inspired by Junghans’ 1955 model the Bundeswehr Chronograph. Its design is created with pilots in mind. Junghans has drawn on its long relationship with aviation to produce a model which will become a pilot’s ideal companion.

Junghans Meister Pilot Self-Winding Mechanical Brown Strap

Everything about this watch is designed to make it easier for pilots to use. The case is made of black DLC coated stainless steel and measures 43.3 mm in diameter. Its coating makes the watch more durable and scratch-resistant. The dial is encased by a sapphire crystal. A unique feature of this model is the ergonomic di-directional bezel. The watch is fitted with an automatic movement with calibre J880.4. It has a 38-hour power reserve. Functions on the watch include a stop function, a 30-minute subdial and a small seconds subdial. The hands and Arabic-numeral hour-makers are large and luminescent to ensure maximum readability. A worn leather brown strap with white topstitching gives this model a rugged, masculine appearance.

Junghans Meister Driver

The Junghans Meister Driver is no ordinary watch. The collection’s design is created to evoke the early years of motorsports and car racing. Junghans understands the importance of that period and seeks to pay homage to all the outstanding pioneers of the time.

Junghans Mens Meister Driver Chronoscope

The Meister Driver Chronoscope is designed to look similar to classic racing cars. Its large case is 40.8 mm in diameter and made of stainless steel. A brown leather strap with white topstitching adds to the retro-chic aesthetic of the watch. The crystal on this watch is made of hard plexiglass. To increase its robustness, the plexiglass has been coated to enhance the scratch resistance. The matt silver dial has the appearance of a vintage car dashboard. It features two subdials and a stop function. The minute-markers have replaced the hour-marker. All the markers and the hands are filled with eco-friendly luminescence. The movement on the model is automatic with calibre J880.3. Its power reserve is 42 hours.

Junghans Meister Mega

Junghans’ Meister Mega line is created to embody the quintessential Meister models. It has a classic simple design with accentuated elegant characteristics and subtle contemporary details. The watches in the line have been fitted with top-of-the-line technology to guarantee ultimate performance and the highest level of accuracy. The Meister Mega features Junghans’ most precise radio-controlled movement.

Junghans Meister MEGA MF Black Leather Strap Gold Plated Case

This watch’s classic luxurious design is achieved through the rose gold PVD coated stainless steel case and black leather strap. The white dial is contrasted by rose gold plated hands and 4 rose gold indices. The other indices and the minute’s scale are thin and black. A date aperture is featured at 3 o’clock. A plexiglass crystal which has been coated to enhance the scratch resistance encases the dial. A radio-controlled movement calibre J101.65 is fitted on the model. The time can be adjusted from the Junghans MEGA app or through the crown. A special engraving features on the case back. Unique to the Meister mega is the second display in half-second steps.

Junghans Max Bill

Designed by the famous Swiss architect Max Bill in 1961, the Junhan Max Bill collection has remained true to its original design and has been manufactured mostly unchanged. The design was influenced by the purism movement of the 20s. The minimalist design has allowed for the only essential features of the watch to shine. A seamless union between practicality and beauty, these watches are undoubtedly one of a kind.

It also has a date aperture at 3 o’clock. The movement of the watch is automatic, calibre J880.2 with a 48-hour power reserve.

This hand-wound model is ideal for those who truly appreciate simplicity. The watch’s primarily black design gives it a sophisticated sleek tone. Its strap is made of black leather. The 34 mm case is made of stainless steel and features a convex hard plexiglass crystal. White luminescent minutes track, hour-markers and hands contrast the black polished dial. The watch’s calibre is J805.1 and has a 42-hour power reserve.

Junghans Max Bill Mega

The Max Bill Mega takes the most outstanding elements of the Max Bill models and combines them with a highly precise radio-controlled movement. The elegant minimalist design is preserved with only a world map added to the case back.

Junghans Max Bill MEGA Solar | Leather Strap

The only word suitable to describe this timepiece is exceptional. Its titanium case measures 38 mm. The material makes the watch durable and lightweight. A light grey leather strap with a titanium buckle guarantees the wearer comfort. The solar dial is matt white and features luminescent dots as well as several small Arabic-numeral hour and minute markers. Thin silvered luminescent hands complement the design and prevent the dial from looking garish. The crystal is made of hard plexiglass. Fitted on the watch is a radio-controlled solar movement with calibre J101.85. The time can be adjusted via the Junghans MEGA app or the crown. A date aperture is featured at the 3 o’clock position.

Junghans FORM

When creating the Junghans FORM the brand put an emphasis on the simple modern design. Highlighting the slim silhouette of the model is the convex shape of the case.  Watches created to be experienced with all the senses, the FORM line accents the contemporary style of the models and helps you inject quiet refinement into your wardrobe.

Junghans FORM A | Titan | Automatic | Black Leather Strap |

The FORM A Titan model is the most recently announced model by Junghans. The case is made of titanium making the watch more durable and lightweight. A black buffalo leather strap gives the watch a more contemporary look. The anthracite dial is complemented by rectangular luminescent indices and hands. A date aperture is featured at the 3 o’clock position. To showcase the automatic movement with calibre J800.2 the case back features a tinted mineral crystal. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal. The watch is water-resistant up to 10 bars and has a 38 hour-power reserve.

Junghans Solar and Radio Controlled

Since the mid-80s Junghans has been on a quest to engineer a timepiece with the highest possible precision. In 1990 the brand managed to produce a watch with improved radio-controlled technology it first created in 1985. The Mega 1 watch became the world’s first radio-controlled wristwatch. Never ready to settle and always changing new horizons Junghans introduced the Mega Solar in 1993, a solar-powered radio-controlled watch. Today the brand’s radio-controlled and solar models continue their predecessors legacy. Ultimate accuracy and futuristic design have been combined to create these outstanding timepieces.

Junghans Mens Force Mega Solar Ceramic Radio Controlled

An attractive modern timepiece with a subtle futuristic tone, the Force Mega Solar is a watch that not only promises but delivers ultimate accuracy. Both the bracelet and 40.4 mm case are made of polished ceramics. This makes the watch hypoallergenic, gentle to sensitive skin and extremely robust. A titanium clasp secures the bracelet. The dial is made of mineral crystal and features thick indices filled with environmentally friendly luminescence. Protecting the dial and increasing the durability of the model is a sapphire crystal. This watch is fitted with a multi-frequency radio-controlled solar movement J615.84. It has a power reserve of up to 21 hours. The watch goes into sleep mode after not being used for 72 hours in order to conserve energy. It features a large date aperture. The time can be adjusted via the Junghans MEGA app.

Junghans Spektrum Lady | Stainless Steel / Black Strap |

This Junghans Spektrum women’s model is sporty yet still undeniably feminine. The watch features the multi-frequency radio-controlled solar movement J615.74. It has similar features to the Force Mega Solar with a 21-month power reserve, going into sleep mode after 72 hours. The time can also be adjusted through the Junghans MEGA app. The case and the outer links on the bracelet are made of stainless steel while the inner links and the bezel are made of black ceramic. This dual-tone highlights the dynamic tone of the model, breaking up the design and adding interest. The dial is the truly eye-catching feature of the watch, however. It is made of black mother-of-pearl. Thick luminescent indices and hands contrast it. A date aperture is featured at 3 o’clock.

Junghans | Milano Solar Quartz Movement |

If you’re after a solar-powered watch with a less utilitarian appearance, the Milano watch is for you. Its clean contemporary silhouette and simple dial give it a timeless, elegant look.
