Holiday shopping – TOP TIPS

If you are a complete shopaholic like me then you probably love this time of year. Bikini buying, frills and floaty dresses it can be easy to get carried away.

I have decide to write up a blog post on how I do my Holiday shopping! As it can get overwhelming when there’s a month to go and you haven’t bought anything yet!

Pre owned

What do you already own? Before you start holiday shopping sort through what you have already denim shorts, tank tops and bikinis never go out of fashion. So be a little creative do your research what could go with what you already own to make that outfit new again!

-what I like to do is take pictures of the clothes I have then when I’m shopping I can see what would look right!

Practicality

For me this is a big one this year. I am visiting Florida which means theme parks, so I am going to need shorts and tank tops more than dresses.

For me I always over pack shoes when I live in flip flops and trainers the whole holiday! Think about this before hand, are you going to want to wear stilettos in the sun or is a flat sandal a better option??

(I always buy my flip flops from primarks they are 90p last well and you can always throw them away at the end of the holiday!)

Weather

I always look at the weather because there’s no point buying 8 new bikinis if the weathers . Even if I am going somewhere hot I try and pack a hoodie or a lightweight jacket because it can go chilly at night or even on the way home!

Think of the material of the clothing you’re taking! Thin cotton is the best for very hot weather try avoiding the denim (I know there’s a lot of denim crops out this year but not very good in heat).

Mix & match

It is very easy when buying new clothes to get carried away! With me I go mad on tops and avoid bottoms then get home and have nothing to pair with the 10 tops I’ve just bought.

Think about this when buying make sure you have something to pair with every item you buy!

Straps

Bra straps, bikini straps and top straps. For me I hate tan lines so think about this when buying for your holiday! For me strapless bras are the way forward in the heat, I try and avoid halter necks for the day as who wants a chunky tan line like that .

Hope these tips have helped you out a little for your holiday shopping!
