Semaglutide Shenanigans: A warning from the FDA

Weight Watchers is stepping in: New partnership announcement

Breaking medical research in weight loss: No more injections?

Laws & Regulations: The FDA Warns Against Semaglutide

If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that the United States government absolutely loses their minds when citizens want to take control of their own health… or, make money that doesn’t go to big pharma.

Case in point – the FDA is now coming after semaglutide. Specifically, they’ve warned against using the compounded forms of semaglutide, stating the risk of adverse effects.

Semaglutide is a powerful tool for managing weight loss, and may literally change the future of obesity medicine…But only three brands are approved to manufacture semaglutide – Wegovy, Ozempic, and Rybelsus.

And what happens when demand skyrockets with a very limited supply? Insanely high prices, where patients are paying nearly $1,000 per month for treatment, if they can get their hands on it in the first place.

Companies are rolling in money, while those in need can’t afford treatment, and manufacturers can’t keep up with the demand.

The cheaper solution is finding a doctor that will order semaglutide from a compounding pharmacy. This should come as no surprise, but the FDA doesn’t like this.

Nothing has been officially banned yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a ban very soon. After all, they tried to ban HCG compounding, a peptide that literally creates life, so of course they’ll be coming after semaglutide.

Research Corner: Oral Semaglutide Leads to Significant Weight Loss in 89.2% of Individuals

While the FDA is out there trying to shut down semaglutide production and keep us all fat, researchers are continuing to study this incredible peptide..

Until now, semaglutide has been prescribed as an injection. If you’re already on TRT, SARMS, or peptides, this is no big deal… But your average person looking to ditch the beer gut likely isn’t thrilled about stabbing themselves with a needle every few days.

The fine folks at Novo Nordisk, a healthcare company based in Denmark, recently published results of their 68-week study.

Researchers found that oral semaglutide resulted in a 17.4% reduction in body weight, compared to a 1% reduction from a placebo.

So if you fear the needle and want help losing fat, oral semaglutide is looking like a very promising solution that will likely be available in the coming years.

Industry News: Sequence Joins Forces with Weight Watchers

Lead by obesity specialist Dr. Spencer Nadoslky, Sequence is a stigma-free weight loss company that helps patients manage their weight through GLP-1s (like Wegovy and Saxenda) and professional coaching.

And now, Sequence recently announced they’re joining forces with Weight Watchers, perhaps the most famous weight loss company on the planet.

In their statement, the Sequence team said:

“We’re looking forward to expanding our care, advocacy, and accessibility, and the support of WeightWatchers will help us educate a larger audience about obesity treatment and weight stigma.

We think it’s a very positive sign for the future of obesity medicine that such a well-known company is looking to learn from obesity doctors and is expanding their weight management programs to include Sequence.”

Dr. Nadolsky, head physician at Sequence knows

a thing or two about peptides and fat loss.

It’s great to see a company as big as Weight Watchers expressing interest in working with semaglutide, and they may have enough influence to take a stand against the FDA.
If you’re interested in working with the Sequence team for weight management, they’re currently offering $99 off your first month.
