Dream BIG and be HAPPYHO!

Tags: dream

The term dream brings a smile to our faces! All of us love to dream while asleep, sometimes we dream with open eyes also. But we dream, even a child has dreams. But dreams have different meanings rather interpretations for everyone. Some dreams delight us, some dreams scare us. But all of us dream. People associate dreams with life goals like you dream of singing in a musical concert, delivering a TED talk or running a marathon etc., etc.

It could be about anything; the best part is that the field is open. You can Dream about anything and everything. Haven’t you seen in Bollywood movies hero and heroine romancing, singing, and dancing in Switzerland? Scientists have different interpretations of your dreams, astrologers have some other interpretations, and poets and writers have completely different interpretations. This way we see that dreams mean different to all of us.

How do we describe dreams: Dreams are a universal human experience that can be described as a state of consciousness characterized by sensory, cognitive, and emotional occurrences during sleep. Everyone dreams although we may not remember our dreams. At different times of life or during different experiences, our dreams might change. Sometimes dreams are memories, old events, or some stories but these are also indicators of future happenings. Many times, with age, dreams change as students dream of books, exams, and results, youngsters dream of their beloved, romance, and holidaying, and adults dream of their children’s accomplishments and super seniors about their grandchildren. Without our consciously knowing it, our dreams progress with age.

Some dreams may seem to predict future events. Some researchers claim to have evidence that this is possible, but there is not enough evidence to prove it. Most often, this seems to be due to coincidence, a false memory, or the unconscious mind connecting known information. Dreams may help people learn more about their feelings, beliefs, and values. Images and symbols that appear in dreams will have meanings and connections that are specific to each person.

People looking to make sense of their dreams should think about what each part of the dreams means to them as an individual.

You can select a dream to fulfill. Some of us have so many dreams swirling in our minds, that we do not know where to start.

If you are one such person, then:

  1. Believe it is achievable.
  2. Ask for help.
  3. Adjust your life as necessary.
  4. Set a deadline.
  5. Tell others.
  6. Stay focused.

You have to dream before your dreams come true – A P J Abdul Kalam

A dream can be described as a series of images, thoughts, desires, or emotions that pass through your mind. It is a wonderful thing you can create in your imagination, most often related to your future. It is something you wish and hope to achieve someday.

What purpose do dreams serve in life?

Dreams help a person understand himself or herself in many ways. It helps in gauging an understanding of what an individual wants to do in life and channelling the efforts into short-term as well as long-term plans.

There is a lot that experts do not know about why people dream and where dreams come from. However, the prevailing theory is that dreaming helps you consolidate and analyze memories (like skills and habits) and likely serves as a “rehearsal” for various situations and challenges that one faces during the daytime.

Dreams are stories and images that our minds create while we sleep. They can be entertaining, fun, romantic, disturbing, and sometimes bizarre. Dreams may have some benefits, such as helping the brain process information gathered during the day.

Fast facts on dreams

  • We may not remember dreaming, but everyone is thought to dream between 3 and 6 times per night
  • It is thought that each dream lasts between 5 to 20 minutes.
  • Around 95 per cent of dreams are forgotten by the time a person gets out of bed.
  • Dreaming can help you learn and develop long-term memories.
  • Blind people dream more with other sensory components compared with sighted people.

Are you the one who has some dreams which you need to accomplish? If yes, as a first measure, step out of your comfort zone as your comfort zone creates the biggest obstacle for you to fulfil your dreams. So, you have to focus to get rid of your comfort zone and make some extra efforts. And you must see what changes are necessary for life to become a successful person. If you live in your comfort zone, then your dreams cannot be turned into reality.

“Dreams do not work unless you act. The surest way to make your dreams come true is to live them.”
―
Roy T. Bennett

Now that you have stepped out of your comfort zone and have started working on your dreams, now time is to fix your willpower as your willpower is the power that helps you come out of your comfort zone. There are many things that we do not do, despite knowing that it is good for us. For example, we all know that physical exercise is beneficial for health. But how many of us do physical exercise? And how many people do it every day?

If you do not come out of your comfort zone today, then your coming tomorrow will be quite dissatisfying for you.

Everyone wants to get ahead in their life. But everyone can have different reasons. Sometimes this happens due to a change in the willpower of the person. So, do not let your desires change frequently. Awaken your desire that you do not change.

So, dream BIG and be HAPPYHO!
