Have you tried breakfast salads?

Breakfast salads

Have you seen the new trend of a Breakfast salad? It’s a little bit different from the usual toast that we have every morning. Whenever we mention this to people, though, people usually pull their face in disgust.

There’s something very weird about making a salad for breakfast. However, we’re here to tell you that they are delicious.

Are you not convinced yet?

We understand salads should be left for lunch or a light dinner. Is there really any place for vegetables at breakfast? Isn’t it a bit heavy?

However, if you’re trying to have a healthy start; there’s nothing exceptional about fried food or pancakes drizzled with maple syrup.

So, for your health, you should consider a salad. It’s not too heavy (not as heavy as a fried egg on bread, anyway.)

But why should you opt for a salad rather than oats, or another healthy alternative?

It makes you eat your greens

It can be so challenging to incorporate greens into your diet. Getting them out of the way in the morning is a great way to do it.

Mornings are about getting stuff out the way, tackling the hardest tasks. So, instead of the saying being “eat the frog,” it should be “eat the salad” – get your healthy start out of the way, and your remaining meals can be a little less stressful.

It’s much better to eat them in the morning, as part of a fantastic breakfast than panic eating them later in the day.

They start your day right

Vegetables are obviously packed with various antioxidants and nutrients – this will make you feel so much better, and start your day off to the right start.

Have you ever had a jam-packed breakfast filled with oil and sugar, how do you feel afterwards? Lethargic or uncomfortable?

Having a salad in the morning will prevent sugar crashes, and helps you to feel refreshed and energised throughout the entire day. It doesn’t matter if you’re heading to the gym, working in an office, or travelling. It will help you get through it with a spring in your step.

Recipes that you need to try

Now that we’ve (hopefully) convinced you to try out a salad for breakfast, let’s take a look at some of the options that you can have. Obviously, transform these into your very own version.

Farro and coconut bacon breakfast salad

The grain, Farro, is underrated in the world – it definitely needs a place at your breakfast table. We’ve opted for coconut bacon, as a fried piece of meat in the morning won’t make you feel great.

Kale salad

Try out a kale salad in the morning. Kale is so rich and beneficial that you’ll feel great afterwards. Some people put soft egg yolks in their Kale Salad, too.

Sweet and savoury breakfast salad

Perhaps you can’t choose between sweet or savoury – so have both in one. Include everything from berries to avocado to kale and mango. It’s yummy, we promise.
