5 Reason's Stopping you losing weight

Often, people assume because they are doing one aspect of dieting correct that will compensate for the wrongs, newsflash it won't. Losing Weight has to be a combination of good choices for example, there's no point running 5 miles and then scoffing chocolate cake!

You won't loose weight if...
  • You skip meals because your body will go into starvation mode and store fat for longer.
  • You drink too much, its easy to forget how many calories are in fizzy drinks and alcohol, but often are as calorific as your favourite sugary snacks.
  • You are impatient with weight loss. For the best results weight loss takes time and if you loose it too quickly you are more likely to pile it back on again and we definitely don't want that! Also don't be disheartened if some weeks you don't loose weight or you stay the same, this can be a good sign that your exercising and building up muscle.
  • You are stressed because food is easy accessible and you will reach for it to comfort you in stressful situations. Stressful situations are often followed by a friend saying "lets put the kettle on" and a plate full of biscuits.
  • You don't exercise enough ! This is logic FOOD = ENERGY which needs to be used otherwise its stored as fat.
