So if that is all there is to losing weight and being healthy why don't more people do this? Great question! Why do you think? As human beings we have a tendency to make everything more difficult and complicated than is necessary - guilty as charged.

With all of the media attention our sky-rocketing obesity issues have created, we have come to believe that it is almost impossible to maintain an ideal weight and be healthy. What if that is a lie? What if it is really as simple as the five steps mentioned above? What would our media have to talk about? Right? Problems sell - it is that simple.
Obesity is definitely a crisis in our country but we can counteract the problem by going back to what was working at the beginning of time - eating right and moving our bodies. Make being healthy your goal - do not let it be just about weight loss. Weight loss will happen naturally if you go back to what is known to work.
Think of all of the ways our country will benefit when people take back control of their health. People will be able to save money on things like insurance, health care, doctor and hospital visits, depression, buying the "diet" books, etc. The list is endless.
Eating and exercising naturally can become a habit; eating poorly is a habit now for a lot of people. We know habits take twenty-one days to make or break. This will be a fun habit to break.
How to Ignite Natural Weight Loss
As stated above, natural weight loss is not complicated at all. Eating naturally is what our bodies are made to do. Our bodies are not meant to process unnatural foods or ingredients. Yet most of what is made available in the stores and advertised on television are the Processed products. Thus, we automatically buy those items.
Getting rid of all Processed Foods is a first step to getting healthy. Maintaining an eating plan that consists of what is natural is generally quite simple - you need protein, complex carbohydrates, low fat foods.
Once you take the processed foods out of your diet you will find you are not as hungry. Processed foods generally have high processed sugars that do not last long in your body. Proteins are a better bet - they process slower in your body thus keeping you satisfied longer.
Beware of misleading labels. Remember, that manufacturers are selling products so they will present products as "good for you," using whatever words might make you believe that. Words such as low fat, less sugar, high in fiber, improved, etc.
If you learn to shop on the outer perimeters of the store you will not need to worry about what is said on the packages of food. The foods on the outer perimeters of the store do not need labels because you know what celery is, what an apple is, what salmon is, etc. Can you see how easy this way of eating can be? It is also faster to shop this way.
