If you’re looking for toilet paper tablets, you might be wondering whether it’s better to buy toilet paper tablets or just buy regular toilet paper rolls. The best way to go is with both because, if 2020 taught us anything, it’s that you can never have enough toilet paper!
The benefit of toilet paper tablets over standard rolls is that they’re easier to handle, take up hardly any space, and leave fewer leftovers. With a roll of TP, there’s always some leftover after you finish wiping down. These extras are either thrown out or stored away to use later.
However, there’s one major benefit of buying standard toilet paper rolls over toilet paper tablets, and that’s the cost per sheet! Most prepper stashes contain high-quality items, so you’ll be paying more for your toilet paper supplies. If you want to go with the cheapest option for this necessity, rolls are the way to go.

We’ve gone over how these little gems are made and what they’re best used for, but now it’s time to figure out how they actually work!
Once you’ve got a toilet paper tablet in your hand, it’s time to add some water. A little goes a long way here, so start with a small amount of water and add more as needed.
Once you have your toilet paper tablet ready, just bring it to your backside and wipe away!
These things are very versatile, so if you want to be extra clean you can wet them down with soapy water or water with a little bit of essential oils, alcohol, or citrus added for disinfecting hands and surfaces.

Wysi Wipes made the top of our list because they are a great high quality, budget-friendly, all-purpose wipe – compressed into a tiny puck, ready to add water.
Porta Wipes
Like many other toilet paper tablets out there, these Porta Wipes are hypoallergenic, preservative-free, fragrance-free, and odor-free. Unlike the other tablets out there, Porta Wipes are the luxury tabs of the compressed towel world. They are thicker, larger, softer, and stronger than the others mentioned here, but they are also the most expensive on this list.
Adventure Wipes
These Adventure Wipes are comparable to the Wysi Wipes, but even more durable and machine washable. If you think you’ll be using these for other messes besides toilet paper tabs, Adventure Wipes are the way to go.
Are There Flushable Toilet Paper Tablets?
Unfortunately, I could not easily find any flushable or septic-safe toilet paper tablets. To be on the safe side, always dispose of compressed wipes in a trash can, or pack them out with you in a Ziploc baggie if you’re hiking, backpacking, or camping.
If you’re looking for a survival item that should be in every prepper’s stash, toilet paper tablets are an inexpensive and lightweight addition. With so many different uses, these tabs could save your life one day! Toilet paper tablets might just become the next must-have item on everyone’s list of things to pack when they go camping. They may not do much good if there is no water around but can still come in handy with other tasks like cleaning up dirty hands or wiping down your booty after going number two – which you will have plenty of time to do once society collapses anyway.
