Jimmy Kimmel Celebrates his Son Billy’s First Birthday After a Challenging First Year
Jimmy Kimmel celebrated his son’s first birthday on Saturday with the help of his family and friends. The one-year milestone was even sweeter for the Kimmel brood marking Billy Kimmel’s triumph past 12 months.
The late-night host posted a picture of his little guy on his Instagram and it looks like Billy is enjoying the pleasures of his first birthday cake.
Looking dapper for his first birthday celebration Billy is wearing a checked button shirt with a matching red bow tie. To mark the occasion Billy had a party hat on and is also wearing most of the cake on his face. The cutie is smiling with joy.

Billy Kimmel underwent emergency surgery days after birth with a second surgery at his 7-month mark to treat a congenital heart condition he was born with called Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia.
Billy’s heart condition led to Jimmy’s tireless efforts to change the health system in the United States using his late night show to advocate for universal health care coverage.
Billy Kimmel Already has Quite the Fan Club
Actor and close friend to the Kimmels, Justin Theroux, was at Billy’s birthday bash. The actor posted a picture with Billy on his social media holding the happy birthday guy.
Justin captioned the heartfelt moment writing, “Happy ONE year birthday Billy! A boy who in 365 days has done more for American national health care than we could all wish to do in our lifetimes. He doesn’t even know yet how courageous he is. An honor to know him and his incredible and equally courageous parents.”

Other celebs gave a happy birthday shoutout to Billy including Julia Louis-Dreyfus tweeting, “Happy Birthday to dearest Billy! (I’m registered).” And daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres who tweeted, “Happy Birthday, Billy Kimmel! You’re one tough kid.”
Jimmy also shares his 3-year-old daughter with wife Molly McNearney. Along with his two younger children, Jimmy is also a father to his son Kevin, 24, and daughter Katie, 27, whom he shares with his ex-wife Gina Kimmel.
