Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival

April 12-14 + April 19-21, 2019

Are you a music-lover and want to cross Coachella off your Bucket-List but not super-keen on milling around in a hot, dusty field? If you are looking to experience the experience that is Coachella but don’t identify as a tent-dwelling festival person, consider the Vip Pass.

VIP Pass

For roughly double the cost of a regular Pass, you can purchase a VIP Pass.  Is it worth it? Depends. Do you like rubbing up against sweaty strangers and enjoy waiting in line for everything? If so, then the VIP Pass is not for you.

For the rest, the VIP Pass offers a lot less waiting in line, a lot more shade and the freedom to consume alcohol throughout the VIP area.

Highlights of the VIP Pass

  • Security: A quick, painless entry through security versus 45 minutes waiting in the blazing sun and a near body cavity search.
  • Restrooms: Well-maintained and air-conditioned restrooms compared to wrap-around lines to answer the call of nature.
  • Water: Line-free access to water stations. This is the desert and hydration is key.
  • Comfort: Shaded main stage viewing with comfy day beds to give your feet a rest.

The Rose Garden

Nothing says VIP like a lovely English rose garden in the middle of the desert.  Included in the VIP Pass, the Rose Garden offers a tranquil escape from the relentless noise and bustle of the festival.  Take a seat in the Rose Garden, sip a beer and recharge before heading back into the fray.

The Eats

Better and more bougie with the ability to accompany your meal with alcohol and not be penned like a sheep in a beer garden.

Outstanding in the Field

Not included in the VIP Pass but the cherry on top of the VIP experience is Outstanding in the Field. A four-course meal presented by a rotating roster of acclaimed chefs is served under white lights in a picturesque corner of the Rose Garden.  In this full-service pop-up, you can serenely sip a specialty cocktail as strains from opening acts carry across the Polo Field to your white-clothed table. Enough said.

Celebs

If this is with whom you’d prefer to rub elbows, then the VIP area is for you.

Getting There

For the full VIP experience, travel to Coachella by private charter.  Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is about a 45 minute drive from the Empire Polo Club where Coachella is held, and although hardly a major hub, is at its busiest during the festival. Private charters have the advantage of using Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (TRM) or Bermuda Dunes Airport (UDD), both private airports situated just 15 minutes from the festival grounds.  You’ll benefit from reduced ground and air traffic for a more seamless travel experience.
