Tien Xia Restaurant Balakong Temple

This is the famous Balakong Temple restaurant or better known as Tien Xia Restaurant 天下美味园（星安庙). Tien Xia Restaurant is located within the Balakong Temple and it is usually packed with customers during dinner time.

We know it is weird to have a restaurant within a Chinese temple but there are a few popular eateries are within the temples in Klang Valley.

You can easily spot the beautiful temple along Lebuhraya SILK, Kawasan Perindustrian Cheras Jaya and the Tien Xia Restaurant is located inside the temple. They open for lunch and dinner and usually very packed during dinner times as you can see cars parked at the outside of the temple.

We visited this restaurant a few times and this is from our recent lunch at Tien Xia Restaurant Balakong Temple. Luckily for us, we went there early and we manage to beat the crowd.

This restaurant is popular for its pork trotter but since it was just a quick lunch, we ordered the Loh Mee. It comes with the claypot and to be honest we are not a big fan of loh mee.

However, the taste of the loh mee is really good. The flavour is spot on and we cleaned the claypot literally. Add some vinegar to give this an extra flavour that you won’t regret. This is a must order if you plan to visit Tien Xia Restaurant Balakong Temple.

Next, we ordered the dried chili shrimp lala instead of kam heong as this is their signature dish. Love the hints of spiciness and the crunchy shrimp (har mai) with the lala. It complements well with rice.

Fried garlic with sliced pork belly is crispy and sweet. This is really addictive and kids will loved this. You can see many people order this because this is tasty.

Food at Tien Xia Restaurant Balakong Temple is definitely good and the food prices are reasonable. It can be very crowded on the evenings but this is worth the trip for good food. This is Tien Xia Restaurant in Balakong Temple. Thanks for reading and enjoy the food.
