NASA scientists have discovered that three powerful Dust Storms which occur each Martian year could pose a hazard to astronauts undertaking a mission to the Red Planet. The discovery also represents a rare opportunity for planetary scientists to gain an insight regarding the processes at work in the tenuous Martian atmosphere.
