The four star guard picked the Huskers over the likes of Kansas, NC State, and Ohio State
It has been a rough off season for Big Red basketball as of late. Between all the transfers and questions regarding Tim Mile’s future, there really hasn’t been much to be happy about if you’re a Husker fan.
That is until today.

Thomas originally committed to NC State last fall but asked for his release in March. It is believed the coaching change in at the end of the season pushed his decision to look elsewhere to play.
While he is not known for being an exceptional athlete on the court he is known for his scoring and is considered by many to be one of the best shooters in the class.
As many of you know, scoring is something the Huskers have struggled with for some time now.

ESPN 100 guard Thomas Allen has committed to Nebraska. Huge pickup for Tim Miles.

It’s nice to finally have some good news regarding the basketball program for once. The Huskers are now down to 3 scholarships to offer for the class of ‘17. While Nebraska is doing well at the guard position it will be nice to have a talent like Thomas who could very well contribute early.
Hopefully the coaches are zeroing in on a big man or two to replace from the exodus of the last two months.
- GBR!
