Paul Merson is confident Arsenal will get past Burnley at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon if Arsene Wenger’s players are fully motivated for the Premier League clash.

The Gunners were impressive 4-0 winners against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium last weekend after two own goals and efforts from Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal hoisted themselves above Manchester City and back into the top four courtesy of their impressive landslide win at the Liberty Stadium.

The north London outfit are 10 points adrift of current leaders Chelsea as Wenger looks to end his 12-year wait to win the Premier League title.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Arsenal’s home clash against Burnley, ex-Gunners midfielder Merson issued a warning to Wenger’s players.

“Just like the Liverpool game, the only thing that can beat Arsenal is their concentration wandering. If Arsene Wenger’s side think they can just turn up and win this game there might be a shock,” Merson said.

“If they go into the game fully focused there is only one winner, and that’s Arsenal. Burnley are a completely different animal at Turf Moor but away from home I can’t see them troubling the Gunners.”

Arsenal finished in second place in the Premier League table last term and 10 points adrift of eventual champions Leicester City.
