Fisher, who could ultimately supplant primary left fielder Nori Aoki , earned his call-up by batting .335 with on-base and slugging percentages of .401 and .608, 19 doubles and 16 home runs in 245 at-bats in the Pacific Coast League .
Fisher, who's from Rexmont, Pa., got a hold of his father, Jim , on the phone in Pennsylvania late Tuesday to share news of his call-up but didn't reach his mother, Kelly , who lives in New York, until Wednesday morning.
