They are visiting from America. After they read the Shema, I had the father put his right hand on his son's head and read the priestly Blessing out loud. He read a few words of the blessing and then he broke down crying. He could barely finish the blessing. Every time he tried again, he broke down crying again, loudly.
When he finished, they hugged and kissed, and I asked him, "Why did you cry so much?"
He said, "I do not know."
I said, "I'll tell you why. Your love for your son is so great that when you thought of how much good you want for him, your emotions overflowed, and you broke down crying."
He looked at his son and they hugged and kissed again.
All this happened while they were still wearing tefillin, and when they think back to their Kotel experience they are going to remember the father blessing his son, and that love is going to come to mind again.
