What you should do on Election Day

Tags: election votes

As #NigeriaDecides2019 and #Nigeria2019Elections draw near, YOU should learn how to protect your Votes on Election Day.

How should you protect your votes on Election Day?

a. Observe happenings in your Polling Unit

b. Report offenses (e.g. Late Arrival of Election Materials or INEC Officials, Absent or Insufficient Security Personnel, Names Missing in the Voters’ Register, Underage voting and any other Election Malpractices) to authorities and the *ReclaimNaija initiative on 07041064855 (calls only); 08166662222 (texts only).

c. Return to your polling unit to witness the counting of the votes before the end of the voting period, and take note of the results announced for the different candidates and political parties.

By observing the elections and reporting election offenses, you will be making very useful contributions to help Nigeria achieve free and fair elections.

*Community Life Project (initiator of the ReclaimNaija project) is a non-profit organisation and platform for social movement of grassroots citizens working to enthrone democratic accountability and inclusive development.
