My First Lake (Naukuchiatal)

Howdy folks, HAPPY CHILDREN’S DAY!! Today I’m going to tell you about my first Lake trip.

It's in a Place Called Naukuchiatal which literally means 'lake of nine corners.' It's a tiny little hill station located in the Nainital district of the Uttarakhand state. The lake is crystal clear with a constant flow of fresh spring water

We stayed at a charming place called Parichay Lake Resort. It used to be an old British cottage built in 1857.

It was my first time living so close to a lake and I was a wee bit scared in the beginning.

 This was my first shikara.

DC (Daddy Cool) was a dude by deciding to row the shikara himself.

But I think I was the bigger dude of the two, posing in my shades with Moma.

I wasn't always that cool, though. I threw huge tantrums so DC put his bandana on me but that also didn't help.

During one of my tantrums, I was tied to a tree! Can you believe that? But I must admit that I secretly enjoyed being at the tree.

I guess my folks felt guilty, so I was later rewarded with my name being written on a cactus tree.

For the first time, I saw this tree called bamboo, which doesn't have one thick bark at the centre but multiple stalks.

For the first time, I also walked along with my DC in the hills.

I made friends with the ducks by the lake. Did I tell you that I can talk like them? I learnt how to quack from my picture book. The ducks were happy to hear me.

I noticed DC staring into space all the time....
Moma did the same. So that's something new I learnt too.

Here's a toast to my happy family with my best travel mates, Moma and DC!!
