My dream fulfilled is not a complicated task
when coveted under the mighty slumber mask.
Beckoning me to places normally way too high.
Reality, not nearly as far, still ponders the sky.
Taking hold tightly, for a moment I stand tall,
yearning as it pulls me softly, afraid I may fall.
Letting go, fearing the unknown, still wanting.
My dream takes me there, always undaunting.
Perhaps slowly, taking small steps at a time,
savoring each one as I make my body climb.
Uncanny, the doubts, can they truly be real,
when my desire to attain is all that I feel?
