Instapundit has been following the excess of the "me too" Accusations at US colleges: pointing out that some were consensual sex where the woman changed her mind, and there were even false accusations, all of which destroyed the lives of young men.

and of course, there are false accusations to get money, as in a case we had in Altoona where a gay prostitute had his brother make a false claim against a priest he met in a Pittsburgh bar: The brother was underage so won the suit: the problem being that the claim was false, and everyone (including the newspaper) noted it was made up for the money. (the jury went along mainly because the entire area hated the bishop for his coverups, and figured at least giving the fraud the money would be a headsup to the bishop. Didn't work of course).

False accusations against priests were common in communist countries, which is one reason JP2 didn't believe a lot of the stories.

Even Andrew Greeley, whose novels and articles are full of exposes of Catholic scandals, had a novel with a subplot about a young priest being falsely accused.

and of course, if you dare to name the "elephant in the room" (let along mention it is wrong) you will be openly corrected, named a homophobe and get tweeted against by the SJW (and maybe even lose your twitter account for hate speech).

And if I stay Catholic, it is because the church is full of sinners, but the church contains the sacraments and traditions that help us to be holy.

The sinners are a small percentage of the clergy: I also have known martyrs and saints among the clergy.
