At the Fifth Digital China Summit on July 23, the signing activity of digital economy major projects was held at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center. There are 29 projects with a total investment of 23.169 billion yuan signed at the meeting, covering cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, 5G and other frontier fields.

Jin’an District and Haosheng Investment signed a cooperation agreement, with a proposed investment of 1 billion yuan to set up a headquarters in Fuzhou, and build a high-throughput marine information communication network covering the world. The agreement could greatly help realize the maritime interconnection and promote the international cooperation in the marine industry.
03 Digital Carrier Projects
Changle District signed a cooperation agreement with the Provincial Big Data Industrial Park and Donghu Investment, with a proposed investment of 3 billion yuan for the joint development of the Donghu Big Data Industrial Park project, actively building a national big data industry cluster to promote the integrated development of the industry and the city in Binhai New Town.
Jinan District and Future Wireless Information Technology signed a cooperation agreement, with a proposed investment of 3 billion yuan for the construction of the Future Technology headquarters building. which is expected to attract enterprises, especially the upstream and downstream cooperative enterprises to settle down, for the joint R&D and incubation of cloud computing, big data, Internet of things, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies of the digital economy.
04 Digital Service Projects
Fuzhou Software Park and Fuya Technology signed a cooperation contract, with a proposed investment of 500 million yuan to build a digital talent pool project so that the closed-loop services of talent and technology can be achieved digitally.
Cangshan District and We Doctor Holdings signed a cooperation agreement to set up the group’s regional headquarters, in order to build an Internet platform for global pharmaceutical equipment transactions and pharmaceutical services, and creating an effective pharmaceutical ecosystem;
Minqing County and Hengtengda Smart Home signed a cooperation contract with a proposed investment of 600 million yuan to build a smart home production line for the improvement of the safety, convenience and comfort of home life.
At the meeting, Fuzhou People’s Government also signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with 7 enterprises, including China Unicom Fujian Branch, National Earth Observation Data Center, iFLYTEK, Hanwang Technology, the Export-Import Bank of China Fujian Branch, ICBC Fujian Branch and CICC, with the joint effort to build “No.1 city for China’s digital applications ” and make a leading demonstration city for digital China construction.
It is reported that as an important part of the Summit and a window to present the achievements of digital China construction, the 5th Digital China Summit & Exhibitions will be held in Fuzhou from July 22 to 26, setting up a special exhibition of “Digital China Construction Achievement Tour” to show the brilliant achievements of Digital China since the 19th National Congress of the CPC. Meanwhile, the 2nd China International Digital Products Expo will be held simultaneously, focusing on the function of “digital product trading, digital industry trading”, to create a digital product and content trading platform for “buying from the world and selling to the world”.
Since 2018, the Digital China Summit has been held in Fuzhou for four consecutive years, becoming an important platform for vigorously promoting the construction of Digital China. In recent years, Fujian Province, the cradle of “Digital China”, has taken the summit as an opportunity to deepen digital innovation for triggering new changes and accelerate the integration of digital empowerment into new patterns, resulting in the positive implementation of 1,411 projects with a total investment of one trillion yuan.
