Today I'm celebrating Jacqueline Bisset's 73rd birthday by sharing a "few" groovy things about her life and career:

1. Winifred Jacqueline Fraser Bisset was born on September 13, 1944, in Weybridge, Surrey, England.

2. Her first uncredited film role was as a prospective model in the 1965 British comedy, The Knack ...and How to Get It, starring Rita Tushingham and Michael Crawford.

3. She was credited as "Jackie Bisset" in Roman Polanski's 1966 film, Cul-de-sac.



4. She played a dancer in the 1966 British comedy, Arrivederci, Baby! (aka Drop Dead Darling), starring Tony Curtis and Zsa Zsa Gabor.

5. She played Miss Goodthighs in the 1967 James Bond spoof, Casino Royale, starring David Niven, Peter Sellers and Woody Allen.



6. She appeared in the 1967 British film, Two for the Road, starring Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney.



7. She played her first lead role in the 1967 film, The Cape Town Affair, with Claire Trevor and James Brolin.

8. She replaced Mia Farrow in the 1968 film, The Detective, starring Farrow's husband, Frank Sinatra (Farrow was still filming Rosemary's Baby).
