Pretty Little Thing Review + HAUL

The first time I heard about Pretty Little Thing was when I noticed it advertised on tv several weeks ago. It just looked like another cheap store with the same items as every other store you see advertised. I ended up seeing the ad enough times to decide to open the site up and have a look. I loved what I found.

I don't think I've ever done a proper online store shopping review before, so I thought it was about time! I know I definitely tend to search for reviews before shopping somewhere for the first time, so I hope this helps anyone thinking about shopping at Pretty Little Thing.

NAVIGATING THE SITE

Pretty Little Thing is packed with every popular/trendy style of clothing in all the best colours. Blush, dusty rose, khaki, nude, camel, sky blue, black, grey and white to name my favourites. They also have the perfect size range - from a size 6 right up to a size 16. I love how they cater to every girl, no matter what size. They also have a great range of shoes and heaps of different accessories including bags, sunglasses, jewellery and even makeup. As I was scrolling through I spotted so many items I liked, so I decided to create a little wishlist by Adding Things to my cart, think on it for a few days then come back if I still wanted those items. I went through the pages filtered by particular colours, as I knew which colours I really wanted to add to my wardrobe.

At the time of adding things to my cart I noticed the 20% off countdown they had at the top of the website. It almost sucked me in at the time and made me rush to order, but I was still intent on thinking about the items I wanted before ordering. So I let the countdown run out, refreshed the site and it had started back up again! So don't get caught out by the discount countdown. They tend to always have some kind of promotion running. Right now they have 30% off everything which is amazing.

MAKING THE ORDER

I came back after a few days and I made an order, using the 20% off countdown code that was still there. The only issue I had was using the free shipping code as well. As far as I could see you can only use one code per order, and I couldn't be bothered asking about that. So I decided to use the discount code, and I paid the extra $6 for standard shipping. Everything went through fine, I received an order confirmation email and another dispatch email to say it had been sent off.

SHIPPING

I placed my order on a Saturday night, and on the next Friday (5 business days) my order arrived. For $6 I was pretty happy with that. I was able to track it easily with the tracking link they gave me in the email that was sent when my order was dispatched. I made an order at Missguided right after PLT and their parcel took an extra business day to arrive.

THE ITEMS

Overall I'm happy with the items I purchased. There was only one piece that I was slightly underwhelmed by, but otherwise everything looked just like it looked on the website, some items even better than what I expected.

I bought a dusty rose jumper in M/L which fits perfectly, much better quality than what I expected and the colour looks even better in reality. I'm actually wearing it as I type this - keeps me warm on a cold day and brightens me up with a beautiful colour. I got a pair of washed black skinny jeans with ripped knees which are a little on the tight side (going with my usual size). I'd suggest going a size up in their jeans, as it's a whole lot easier to tighten them up with a belt than to try and squeeze into them :) . The nude creeper sneakers I got are incredible and super comfy as well. The rose bodysuit is a nice thick fabric and fits perfectly. And I love the khaki midi skirt I got - although it's very cheap thin fabric, it still looks really nice and fits well. The item I wasn't that impressed with were the pink leggings, which are a darker pink than what appears on the website, and the lines are more visible than what I expected. They're the comfiest things to wear around home with a big cardi or jumper though.

THOUGHTS

I will be shopping at Pretty Little Thing again for sure. There were more items I wanted at the time of my first order but I didn't want to go crazy in case anything went wrong with shipping or if the quality reflected the price. It's hard to know whether to trust online stores you've never shopped from before, but I hope this helps you out if you're thinking of shopping there. It's a good one!
