Adding An Indian Touch To A Kitchen Cabinet

I'd be the first to admit - i am still stuck in the 90's rustic, worn-out Boho chic furniture trend. But I just really like it. Still. And this Cabinet sitting in my kitchen became too much of temptation for me to keep my fingers away.

One Coat of Black Paint - sponged on for a little bit of an uneven look. Let it dry over night and then two coats of Caribbean blue. And then one more coat of "dirty water" (two drops of black paint diluted in water) rubbed into corners and cracks.

Lastly, the most fun part - sand away in the places where the cabinet would get the most nicks, scrapes and dents. I added two different types of Indian porcelain knobs and considered myself done. What do you think? Too much 1998?
