Introduction
Central Universities Common Entrance Test or Cucet is a national level entrance examination jointly organized by the ten Central Universities. The entrance test is meant for admission into the UG and PG courses as well as various research programs at these central universities. CUCET 2018 will most likely be held in May 2018 with notification releasing by March 2018. In 2017, 1.3 lakhs students appeared for CUCET 2017.

CUCET Exam 2018 will be conducted in ENGLISH only.

CUCET exam 2018 shall be a Pen and Paper Based Test and thus shall be conducted offline.

CUCET 2018 Exam Pattern
CUCET exam will be of 2 hours and consist of 100 objective-type questions (MCQs). The question paper will have two parts:
Part A
Part A shall have 25 questions and cover English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical Aptitude and Analytical Skills. English Language.
Part B
Part B shall have 75 questions and cover the domain knowledge of the candidates.
Each right answer will fetch 1 mark while each incorrect answer negative marking of 0.25 mark.
CUCET 2018 Application Form
CUCET 2018 application portal is yet to go online.
The application forms will be available by March 2018 tentatively.
Application Fee
Application fee for CUCET 2018 shall be Rs. 800 for General/OBC categories, however, it will be only Rs. 350 for SC/ST candidates.
A complete fee exemption is noticed in case of PWD candidates

- Credit Card/Debit Card/Netbanking
- Bank Challan.
Photograph and Signature Specifications
- Photograph – JPEG format; Size: 10-100 KB
- Signature – JPEG format; Size: 5-20KB
Registration Procedure
- The candidate has to apply for CUCET 2018 online, as offline submissions are not allowed
- The candidate has to fill all the information asked in the form.
- A photograph and signature then need to be scanned and uploaded.
- The application fee can be paid online via debit card/credit card/netbanking.
- Those who make the payment online shall receive an automated e-mail and SMS on the registered e-mail ID and mobile number.
- Those who want to pay offline through Challan would have to wait for 7 days after the form submission
CUCET 2018 Syllabus

CUCET 2018 Test Centres

CUCET 2018 Admit Card
CUCET 2018 admit card should be available in May 2018 tentatively. The admit cards can be downloaded from the official website. The admit card shall have all the candidate details like the candidate name, exam center, roll number, exam date and time etc. The admit card is mandatory for appearing in the examination and strictly not transferable.
CUCET 2018 Answer Key
The official answer key for CUCET 2018 shall be available about a week after the exam date i.e. in the last week of May or the first week of June 2018.
The answer key will be available on the official website and in the case of any grievance related to the answer key, the candidate can send his/her query or complaint to the authorities and the corrected answer key shall be made available shortly afterward, about a week before the actual result declaration.
CUCET 2018 Results
CUCET 2018 results will be announced by June 2018. A merit list will be prepared, which can be accessed on the official website. As per their rank in the merit list, candidates will be further called for the counseling round.
CUCET 2018 Counselling
During the counseling round of CUCET 2018, candidates have to rank their preferences of colleges and courses. Seats shall be allotted according to the candidate’s rank and the availability of seats. Document verification is also done at this stage. Candidates have to carry the following documents for the counseling round:
- 10th and 12th Standard Mark-sheets and Passing Certificates
- Graduation/Post-Graduation Mark-sheets
- CUCET 2018 Admit Card and Score Card
- Original ID Proof
- Transfer Certificate
- Caste Certificate
