NY Gov. Cuomo Set Senate and Assembly Special Elections for May

New York Gov. Cuomo will set May 23rd as the date for a Special Election to fill:

- A Harlem State Senate Seat, 30th Senate District (Harlem, East Harlem/El Barrio, Upper West Side, Washington Heights, Hamilton Heights, and Morningside Heights)

- A Long Island Assembly Seat, 9th District (portions of Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island, including Massapequa, West Babylon, Babylon, West Islip, and West Bay Shore)

Both were vacated early this year after former Sen. Bill Perkins (D) was elected to the New York City Council and Assemblyman Joseph Saladino (R) was appointed Supervisor of the Town of Oyster Bay on Long Island.
