Yesterday, Jan 27, marked the Birthday of one of the greatest minds of all time. More importantly, he keeps me calm (since this blog is about me, i am allowed to say that). The contradiction of his music - the simplicity of his melody lines with the utter complexity of the composition has always awed me. Combine that with the innumerable towering masterpieces he created, the unique sound of each piece, his mastery of melody, form and counterpoint, and we see how Mozart has earned his stripes as the great deity of music.
