Breville Philippines turns 10: Month-long Virtual Coffee Festival to celebrate everything coffee

With everything that has been happening around the world, people yearn for comfort, for something familiar, for something that would give peace and a sense of normalcy amidst the pandemic. For Coffee lovers like myself, a good cup or two is something that soothes me and reminds me there are better days ahead. And I'm sure there are even more coffee lovers who can relate!

Coffee, being a huge part of our lives, jumpstarts our mornings, boosts our afternoons, and even eases us into laid-back evenings. And while we can't hang out at our favorite coffee shops nowadays like we used to, the situation gives rise to home brewing. I'm sure by now most home baristas and coffee enthusiasts have already developed their signature coffee recipe. I know I do! And however you like to enjoy your coffee, Breville Philippines is here to help keep our intimate relationship with our favorite cups even in the comfort of our homes.

Breville Philippines is a premium home label not only known for its selection of kitchen appliances, but also for offering quality coffee equipment like the Barista Express Espresso Machine and the Precision Brewer Thermal Coffee Maker, which makes it easy and accessible for everyone to enjoy third wave and cafe-quality coffee at home. And as it celebrates its tenth year in the market, Breville Philippines is throwing a month-long Virtual Coffee Festival!

Breville's Virtual Coffee Festival is open to everyone, and aims to gather professionals and enthusiasts to connect them to each other, and help regular consumers celebrate and elevate their love for coffee with a wide variety of online events.

Facebook Live Sessions

Part of the month-long event is The Breville Coffee Hub, a series of Facebook Live Sessions which will feature experienced coffee masters who will share their insights and experience about the food, beverage, and wellness industry in general.

Join Chef Edward David Mateo of the La Royale Patisserie Food Group and learn how to make coffee-flavored desserts on September 4. Interested in latte art? Then catch Dave Dource, Academic Director of the Philippine Chapter of Barista Guild Asia, as he shares tips and techniques on making latte art on September 5. And on September 11, it's Chef Louise Mabulo's turn to teach how to maximize coffee for both food and non-food usage -- a topic that is particularly important for the brand as it calls for everyone to master sustainable ways of living at home.

Other events will include virtual sessions on how to use coffee for cooking, the art of science of third-wave coffee, and many more.

Online Contests

In addition to the Facebook Live Sessions, Breville Philippines is also holding two online contests -- Pour Your Art Out: A Virtual Latte Art Challenge and Coffee Rush Challenge which invites participants to compete with their best latte art creations and homemade coffee-themed cakes, respectively.

To join the festival, visit Breville Philippines’ Official Event Page. More announcements will also be made on their Facebook and Instagram pages. And if you’re looking for inspiration on creative uses of coffee, on the other hand, you can check out www.foodthinkers.com.ph for some recipes and guides.
