Masala House, Porvorim
Masala House is making waves across Goa’s culinary scene and rightly so- they serve tantalising North Indian fare with a modern touch! The Dora Kebab, an exquisite composition of spiced minced lamb is wrapped around a wooden skewer and chargrilled. The Moge Wala Tamateri Kukad is a version of the classic butter Chicken- grilled shredded chicken simmered in a zesty tomato sauce, butter, fresh cream and fenugreek for a bit of zest. The Dill Salmon Tikka is a Scottish salmon with the bite of fresh dill leaves baked to perfection in a clay oven. The flash fried squids too are a signature and come bathe in a spicy, tantalising red chilli masala- a Calamari 65 you’ll fall in love with!

Mustard, Anjuna
Bringing to you the finest French and Bengali recipes bound by the zestiness of the mustard seed, Mustard is back in a wholly new form in Anjuna. A freshwater Bengali favourite is the Rohu fish, cooked in a thin gravy with nigelle seeds, a hint of turmeric, chilli powder and mustard oil for that added piquancy. The Tentul Chingri is another coastal delicacy- juicy prawns are pan-fried in a sweet and tangy tamarind reduction. For dessert, I had an apple ginger tartlet- roasted apple slices, ginger, dry apricots and grilled pistachios- a bit of France in all its glory!

The Beach House, Vagator
Stunning views and gorgeous food from a range of cuisines is what you can expect at this chic new spot in Vagator. The Chipotle Chicken Wings are a preparation flavoured with smoked chili and served with ranchero dressing- try this with one of their many inventive cocktails! The ‘Shroom Risotto is Italian at its best. Wild mushroom and Arborio rice simmered in red wine and topped with creamy herbed Mascarpone make this an indulgent preparation. The Pork Chops too, are juicy, succulent and layered with a red wine and thyme sauce.

The toothsome betel leaf-wrapped beef small plate, garnished with Thai red chilli, garlic and kaffir lime is the flavourful punch your palate needs! Wash this down with the wonderfully tangy Bimbli concoction, a tribute to the Goan berry.
