After the success of Millennium Development Goals (MGD), the United Nations introduced a new Agenda called, Sustainable Development Golas (SDG) also termed as #Envision2030. There are 17 Goals to achieve universal peace and prosperity. These Goals also known as Global Goals to achieve by 2030.
The 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to transform our world:
GOAL 1: No Poverty
GOAL 2: Zero Hunger
GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being
GOAL 4: Quality Education
GOAL 5: Gender Equality
GOAL 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
GOAL 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
GOAL 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
GOAL 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
GOAL 10: Reduced Inequality
GOAL 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
GOAL 13: Climate Action
GOAL 14: Life Below Water
GOAL 15: Life on Land
GOAL 16: Peace and Justice Strong Institutions
GOAL 17: Partnerships to achieve the Goal
The SDG (4) that is Quality Education is the most important one, I think should have been the SDG(1), because Quality education can overcome everything. Behind every social issue lack of education or quality education is the reason. To Eradicate Extreme Poverty or to achieve equality quality education is a must.
It has been seen that behind the current problem of joblessness and low wages among the younger generations is the absence of quality education in the primary and secondary level of education. The UN termed it as Learning Crisis.
In developing countries education system needs a huge reform as early as possible. Otherwise all the 17 Goals will fall flat. Currently students of developing countries are schooling without learning. For achieving universal sustaible development and equality we must concentrate on education first.
