Interested in learning the art of Book repair and donating your time and talent to CGS? If so, consider joining the CGS Book Repair Committee! One of the great things about the CGS Library is its rich assortment of “vintage” books. However, since “vintage” is a nice word for “old,” it goes without saying that some books need a bit of an upgrade after a while. Training will be provided for new volunteers.
The Book Repair Committee meets in the CGS Library on the second Tuesday of the month. As long as masks are required in the Library, committee members meet in the afternoon, from about 1 p.m. to 3 or 3:30 p.m. Once things get back to “normal” (post-pandemic), the committee will meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (with a lunch break!). Questions? Need more information? Send an email to Kathleen Beitiks.
