Approval Notice Date: May 11th, 2017

Case Summary:
With a doctorate in psychology and ample experience conducting research in the same Field, our client was a suitable candidate for EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability). We came to this conclusion after carefully evaluating his professional and academic portfolio. After confirming that we could build a strong case for him, we got to work gathering a wealth of information related to his research on social cognition.
One of our main goals was to convince the USCIS that our client’s work addresses some of the United States’ most important issues regarding how people process, store, and apply information about other people and social situations. We went about this by presenting data related to his studies, such as the 27 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 5 book chapters and 22 times he conducted peer reviews for scientific journals. We also noted the 521 times his work was cited by both dependent and independent researchers around the world.
In a bid to further fortify our client’s EB1A petition, we urged him to contact several of his peers for recommendation letters. As these letters stated the significance of our client’s research to the US, they played an important role in garnering petition approval. For instance, this is what one of our client’s recommenders said: “In the realm of psychology and social cognition research, [Client] is one of the finest contemporary experts and has greatly advanced scientific understanding in this field thanks to his insightful research contributions”. Another recommender noted: “[Client] is an expert in psychology research and a premier member of the academic field in the United States.”
Our client opted to file his I-485 application with the help of our DIY Packet. Roughly 4 months after his EB1A was approved, he received the good news that his I-485 had also been approved, making him an official green card holder. We congratulate him for becoming a US permanent resident and we thank him for choosing us to represent his EB1A case.
