Duncan Oil company is a family-owned business located in southwest Ohio. We currently operate a chain of convenience stores around the area and are hiring for our RoadDog store in Tipp City! Being the face of our company, the RoadDog Store Kitchen Associate is absolutely vital to our business success. RoadDog kitchen associate greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and provides exceptional customer service as a major component of this position. We are very flexible with our shifts and can accommodate part or full-time availability.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead store associates in accordance with company policy and procedures, to maximize store profits
Lead in the training, motivating, and mentoring of Store Associates
Lead in building an atmosphere that demonstrates pride in teamwork and in serving the customer
Responsible for safeguarding the store, cash, and inventory control
Ensure the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the facility
Assist with required paperwork accurately and timely as per company standards
Assist with all other store tasks and activities assigned by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a prompt, cooperative, and enthusiastic manner
Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders.
Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains them to guests accurately
Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill. Collects payment from guests and makes changes.
Prepares food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
Checks all equipment and immediately reports any malfunctions within the area to the Manager in Charge.
Maintains cleanliness of all equipment while following all guidelines of safety and practicing clean-as-you-go.
Ensures that all food product meets the specifications, procedures, and quality standards including strict observance of designated holding times.
Verifies all necessary products and supplies are stocked.
Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the cooler.
Perform all other tasks as assigned by the manager in charge of the shift.
Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities and Experience:

Preferred minimum of 2 years in a convenience store or retail industry
Preferred minimum of 1 year of management experience
Strong work ethic and communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing work environments
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, this includes evenings and weekend shifts
Ability to operate computer programs to complete associate and management tasks
Lifting Requirements - Medium to Heavy - lifting to 50 pounds frequently
Continuously stand and/or walk on hard floors to prepare and cook food, get stock items, and transport items to/from the kitchen, stock room, food prep area, and front lines for periods of up to eight (8) hours.
Requires bending, standing, and walking during the entire shift. Frequently push or pull trashcans, brooms, mops, and mop buckets.
Occasionally frequently climbing a footstool or ladder to reach items located on stack shelves, in coolers, freezers, stockrooms, etc.
Frequently stoop or squat to reach items on low shelves or on the floor.
Continuously reach overhead, forward, and underneath shelving, counters, tables, refrigeration units, racks, drink dispensers, fryers, batter tables, and ovens.
Continuously handle a variety of shapes, sizes, and textured items which include, but are not limited to: Dairy products, produce, condiments, meat/poultry, bulk stock items, and paperwork.
Continuously use fingers to bilaterally prepare food, unload boxes, etc.
Continuously communicate with and listen to customers, management, and other team members to ensure optimal performance.
