MY THOUGHTS
“When I read a book it feels like real life and when I put the book down it’s like I go back into the dream.”
Ellie, the golden girl of her family, went missing 10 years ago. Her disappearance affected her mother and eventually leads to a broken family. After 10 years, one day PD found the remaining of her body and her mother got the closure.
But is it really the closure? or a new beginning?
“May was like the Friday night of summer: all the good times lying ahead of you, bright and shiny and waiting to be lived.”
I loved the writing, story continuously switched from past, present, one pov to another. It can be tricky but the author completely aced it. Characters were developed so cleverly, it was so easy to emotionally connect with each and every character. I really felt for Ellie.
There were not any huge twist or turns, and it was so easy to guess the scenario. Still, it kept me engaged until the end. The ending was so satisfying.
“A man who can’t love but desperately needs to be loved is a dangerous thing indeed.”
